The Kyiv regime will be punished for every crime, - Head of the DPR
16.09.2022 - 16:20
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, issued a statement after the terrorist attacks that Ukrainian criminals committed today in several cities of the Donbass and Kherson region.
“Today, Ukrainian neo-Nazis almost simultaneously committed bloody vile crimes in Lugansk, Kherson and Berdyansk.
An extremely cynical terrorist attack took place in the fraternal Lugansk People's Republic. As a result, LPR Prosecutor General Sergei Gorenko and his deputy Ekaterina Steglenko were killed.
An equally monstrous tragedy happened in Kherson: according to preliminary information, as a result of a strike on the city center, one person was killed, four more were injured, including two children.
In addition, in Berdyansk, literally next to the house, deputy mayor Oleg Boyko and his wife Lyudmila were treacherously killed.
I will add that the shelling of the cities of the Donetsk People's Republic continues.
Over the past day alone, hundreds of shells were fired from the Ukrainian side, three residents died, 12 were injured. And the shelling does not stop, the cannonade from the positions of Kyiv is heard in any part of Donetsk.
I express my deepest condolences to the families and friends of the victims. I wish a speedy recovery to the wounded.
All these facts of war crimes are further evidence that Kyiv is interested in the greatest possible terror and bloodshed, in the most monstrous tragedies, in the murder of civilians.
In addition, in Ukraine they want us to be confused, scared, retreated. But this will never happen - it is high time for these non-humans to understand that for each of their crimes they will definitely be punished. The vile Kyiv regime and its henchmen terrorists will have a sad ending.”

Russia has for the time being responded with restraint to Ukrainian attacks on infrastructure and terrorist attacks, President Vladimir Putin said
“We are quite restrained in our response to this. But for the time being,” he said.
“Here, the Russian Armed Forces quite recently delivered a couple of sensitive strikes, we will consider that these are warning strikes,” he added.
He also stressed that the plan of the special operation is not subject to adjustment.
"The General Staff makes operational decisions, something is considered key, the main goal is the liberation of the entire territory of Donbass. This work continues despite these counteroffensive attempts by the Ukrainian army," the president said.
The head of state said that now only the contract part of the army (professional military, not connoscripts) takes part in the special operation.
“I draw your attention to the fact that we are not fighting with a full army, we are fighting only with part of the Russian army, only with a contract unit. Naturally, this is due to certain parameters of personnel and so on ... Therefore, we are not in a hurry in this part,” said he.
About the grain deal
The head of state called the position of Western countries on grain exports chatter.
“They seem to have lifted the sanctions on our fertilizers. The Americans, by the way, were the first to remove them. It turned out that the lands in Ukraine had long been sold to American companies, this is their grain, they are exporting their own grain,” Putin said.
He also called the EU's decision to lift restrictions on the supply of Russian fertilizers only to European countries as ugly.
"We will sell it. And we will sell our goods. But if we sell like this, then it will not reach the poorest countries, that's the whole point," the president stressed.
About the energy crisis
“The energy crisis in Europe did not begin with the start of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, in the Donbass, not with this, much earlier. Strange as it may seem, it began with a green agenda,” the president said.
According to him, if European countries do not have enough gas, let them lift sanctions from the Nord Stream 2 pipeline.
“If it’s impatient, if everything is so difficult, take and lift the sanctions <...> No, they closed it themselves, they closed it here, they can’t repair it here, this new gas pipeline was put under sanctions. <...> Let them think about who is to blame for what, and do not blame us for their mistakes," he stressed.
Putin noted that Russia has always fulfilled and will continue to fulfil its obligations under gas contracts.

"The End of the Dollar Dictatorship". What was agreed at the SCO summit
MOSCOW, September 16 - RIA Novosti, Renat Abdullin. The summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization ended in Samarkand. Russian President Vladimir Putin held a series of bilateral meetings with regional leaders. As a result, more than 40 documents were signed, but verbal agreements are also interesting.
A quarter of gas - for Rubles
For Vladimir Putin, the summit has become a convenient opportunity to "synchronize watches" with partners. Thus, his talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping on September 15 excited the West in advance, since the main topic was the situation in Ukraine.
"Let's really hope that a significant part of it (grain), until this can be achieved, will still go through the UN food program for the poorest countries," he stressed.
The issue of mutual settlements was also touched upon. Putin said that in the near future Ankara will start paying 25 percent of the cost of gas in Rubles. At the same time, according to him, Turkey has already become one of the reliable routes for fuel supplies from Russia, and the Turkish Stream gas pipeline is operating without interruption.
The President also noted the steady growth of trade between the countries. “I would like to inform you that our economic operators have received appropriate signals that they will also be able to export our products through Turkey,” he added.
Speaking about the interaction between Ankara and the SCO, the Russian leader drew attention to the rapidly developing economic ties. "We will welcome Turkey's work in this structure in every possible way," the head of state stressed.
Finally, Putin touched upon the construction of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant. "Yesterday, final documents were signed that regulate all relations between the parties to this large, grandiose construction project," the president said.
Gas and friendship
In addition to Xi and Erdogan, Putin talked face to face with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the presidents of Azerbaijan (Ilham Aliyev), Kyrgyzstan (Sadyr Japarov), Turkmenistan (Serdar Berdimuhamedov), Iran (Ibrahim Raisi). For the first time - with the new head of government of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif.
Separate from the general meetings and bilateral meetings, a China-Mongolia-Russia format talk was held, at which the construction of the Soyuz Vostok gas pipeline through Mongolian territory was discussed. "Currently, Gazprom is finalizing the details of the project with the Chinese and Mongolian sides," Putin stressed.
With the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, they signed a Declaration on a comprehensive strategic partnership between Moscow and Tashkent. Putin also presented the Uzbek colleague with the Order of Alexander Nevsky "for his great contribution to strengthening friendly ties with Russia."
"Pillar of the New World Order"
Two dozen states cooperate with the SCO, including Azerbaijan, Armenia, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Vietnam, Israel, Iraq, and Turkey. As Vladimir Petrovsky, an employee of the Institute of China and Modern Asia of the Russian Academy of Sciences, noted in an interview with RIA Novosti, this indicates the importance of the organization.
"The role of the SCO is growing - and not only because of the admission of new members. The scope of responsibility is expanding, affecting the Middle East, the countries of the Persian Gulf," the expert specified.
It is also important that in the current geopolitical situation, the SCO has become an alternative to the collective West.
"The organization is already implementing a new model of cooperation based on equality, the principles of a multipolar world and mutual benefit. Where there is no "dictate of the dollar", sanctions pressure. At the summit, it was decided to adopt a special document on the transition to settlements in national currencies. The SCO is turning into one of the pillars new international order. Life itself encourages this. And, of course, the attractiveness of the SCO will continue to grow," concludes Petrovsky.

No unilateral sanctions

The fight for Ukraine will not just be won on the battlefield. For all the high-tech weaponry the West has delivered, psychological war against Russia remains a key opportunity for the United States.
Historically, such an approach focused on selling Russians on the American dream. But this strategy is a relic of the Cold War, ill-suited to present-day Russia. Instead of pitching the benefits of Levi’s and Hollywood, U.S. information operations should use Russian nationalism to turn the tables on the Kremlin — highlighting the war’s damage to Russia, exposing government corruption and inequities inside Russia, and exploiting resentment among Russia’s ethnic minorities. These, dare we say, Russia-style tactics will bear more fruit than tales about the wonders of American democracy.
The U.S. government is no stranger to information operations of this kind. During the Cold War, to highlight the Soviet Union’s weaknesses and provide genuine news to the captive nations of the Soviet empire, Washington pioneered the delivery of world news through its Voice of America initiative and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. These public information programs were instrumental in the fight against communism. Since launching his February 2022 invasion of Ukraine, Vladimir Putin has shuttered what was left of Russia’s independent media and restricted Russians’ access to major Western social media platforms and various Western news agencies. But through the widespread use of VPN internet access, the United States can deliver information inside Russia as well as use Russian surrogates to post social media messages on Russian platforms.
