SIMFEROPOL, October 14 - RIA Novosti. Zaporizhzhya NPP will refuse American fuel and switch to Russian, Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the movement "We are together with Russia", a member of the main council of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, told RIA Novosti.
"Zaporozhye NPP is returning to the use of Russian fuel. In particular, we are talking about a fuel element (TVEL) containing nuclear fuel. When the power units of the nuclear power plant are launched again, they will use exclusively Russian fuel," Rogov said.

WASHINGTON, October 14 - RIA Novosti. SpaceX, headed by American billionaire Elon Musk, can no longer pay for the maintenance of the Starlink satellite communications system in Ukraine and is asking the Pentagon to cover these costs, CNN reports, citing documents received at its disposal.
In total, according to the channel, about 20,000 Starlink terminals were transferred to Ukraine. On Friday, Musk said that the related operations cost SpaceX $80 million, and by the end of this year, these costs will exceed $100 million.
But these charitable donations may come to an end as SpaceX has notified the Pentagon that it may stop funding the use of the network in Ukraine unless the US military commits tens of millions of dollars per month to this purpose.
According to the documents, Musk wrote to the Pentagon in September that SpaceX "can no longer continue to fund the work of Starlink as before." He also asked the military to take over the financing of communications services in the interests of the government and the army of Ukraine.
As noted in the letter, by the end of the year this will cost the Pentagon more than $120 million, and over the next 12 months - another $400 million. At the time of this writing, the US Defense Department has not responded to a written request from RIA Novosti for comment on this publication.

Counter-terrorist operation regime introduced in Belarus

The regime of the counter-terrorist operation (CTO) has been introduced in Belarus, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic Vladimir Makei.

According to him, the country's armed forces and special services are ready to rebuff provocations from neighbouring states.

“The head of our country held a number of meetings with law enforcement agencies, and a counter-terrorist operation regime was introduced.

The world's richest man, with a personal fortune north of $200billion, said it is costing firm SpaceX $20million per month to maintain the network that keeps roughly 20,000 Starlink terminals in Ukraine running and it is not sustainable.

He spoke out just days after tweeting a 'peace plan' that proposed handing chunks of Ukrainian territory to Russia that prompted a clash with President Zelensky and saw ambassador Andreij Melnyk tell him to 'f**k off'.

MINSK, October 14 - RIA Novosti. Minsk and Moscow are deploying a regional grouping of troops, which will be based on the Belarusian army in peacetime and individual Russian military formations, said Viktor Tumar, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Belarus for research.
"In order to ensure parity in the field of military security and maintain peace in the Republic of Belarus, a decision was made to create a regional grouping of troops on our territory. It will be based on the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus in peacetime, as well as individual military units of the Russian Federation," he words in a message published in the Telegram channel of the Belarusian Ministry of Defense.
According to him, "literally in the coming days, troops of the Russian component of the regional group will begin to arrive on the territory of the Republic of Belarus."
Tumar added that the regional grouping of troops of the Union State will carry out defensive tasks.
“Currently, the decision to create a regional grouping of troops is being implemented in the interests of strengthening the protection and defense of the state border of the Republic of Belarus in order to reduce military activity in the areas bordering us,” said the deputy chief of the Belarusian General Staff, noting that the situation at the borders indicates a growing threat to the security of the Union State and "requires immediate action".
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said on October 10 that Kyiv's opening of "a front against Belarus is insane from a military point of view, but the process has begun, and the West is pushing Ukraine towards this." He noted that NATO and some European countries are considering options for possible aggression, so Russia and Belarus agreed to deploy a joint regional group of troops.

He added that he and Macron will still have the opportunity to discuss these words.
"In any case, Russia has always sincerely sought to resolve any conflicts, including issues related to Karabakh and around it," the Russian president added.
