The White House is deeply disappointed that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas told Russian President Vladimir Putin that he lost confidence in the Biden administration.

According to Axios, during a meeting with Putin in Astana, Abbas also pointed to the inability of the United States to mediate in the negotiations between Palestine and Israel.
The Palestinian leader's remark is said to have infuriated the Biden administration, which informed an adviser to Abbas.
At the same time, Washington believes that the Russian president is not the partner that is needed to resolve the conflict between Palestine and Israel.
The talks between Putin and Abbas took place on October 13 on the sidelines of the summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA). The leaders of the two countries discussed the development of economic and humanitarian ties.
