There is not much detailed information. However, that is what known about the situation on the Snake Island (Zmeinii). During the night May 6-7 Russian antiaircraft missile launcher "Tor" that was ensuring air defence of the island, was disabled, presumably by a strike of two Ukrainian Su-27. After that on May 7 - Russian garrison has left the island. Later in the day Ukrainian landing group on three Mi-8 helicopters and landing craft "Stanislav" have arrived at the island. All that and also two aircrafts - Su-24 bomber, Su-27 fighter and two Bairaktar UAVs were destroyed by Russian aviation in a counter-strike.

Ukrainian officials confirm, that all civilians have been evacuated from Azovstal steelworks. It looks, like they are inviting Russian and Republican forces to proceed🪖🪖🪖

That is, presumably a footage of two Ukrainian Su-27 attacking Snake island during the night on the 6-7 May, when "Tor" antiaircraft system was damaged. There are evidence of some further damage to the facilities. Update - the strike was carried out after Russian garrison has left the island, just empty building and left equipment. Later on the same day Ukrainian landing group on three Mi-8 helicopters and landing craft "Stanislav" have arrived at the island. All that and also two aircrafts - Su-24 bomber, Su-27 fighter and two Bairaktar UAVs were destroyed by Russian aviation in a counter-strike.

Why is the Snake Island is so important? That small piece of land is a control point that may block Odessa and Nikolaev - important ports on Ukrainian coast. It looks like a "Battle of the Snake island" - during the night May 7-8 two more Ukrainian bombers Su-24 and Mi-24 helicopter were destroyed. One more Bairaktar UAV was shot down near Odessa. All together within 24 hours there were destroyed from the Ukrainian side: 4 aircrafts, 4 helicopters (3 - with paratroopers), 3 UAV and a landing ship - all around that small piece of land. 💥 В течение ночи над островом Змеиный российскими средствами ПВО уничтожены еще 2 украинских бомбардировщика Су-24 и один вертолет Ми-24 воздушных сил Украины, а также в районе города Одессы сбит БПЛА «Байрактар-ТБ2». Всего же за сутки в данном районе уничтожены 4 украинских самолета, 4 вертолета, в том числе 3 с десантом на борту, 3 БПЛА «Байрактар-ТБ2» и один десантно-штурмовой катер ВМС Украины.
