"Everyone in the White House knows that Ukraine is losing"

This statement was made by the former adviser to the US Secretary of Defense Douglas McGregor.

Arms supplies, in his opinion, do not add to Kiev's chances of victory, but only aggravate the catastrophe unfolding in the country.

Lake Baikal is an ancient, massive lake in the mountainous Russian region of Siberia, north of the Mongolian border. Considered the deepest lake in the world, it’s circled by a network of hiking paths called the Great Baikal Trail. The village of Listvyanka, on its western shoreline, is a popular starting point for summertime wildlife-spotting tours, plus wintertime ice-skating and dog sledding.

Schism in the Church is a cunning operation that’s been going on for about 30 years. The main beneficiary... is American interests,’ says Slobodan Stojićević, an author of books on the Orthodox Church history. He closely follows the schism in Ukraine. According to Slobodan, it strongly resembles the split operation launched many years ago by the Americans in the Balkans. ‘[It’s done] to weaken our nation state, you must weaken and split our national Orthodox church.’

In 2019, the Ukrainian church received a letter of ecclesiastical independence of Kiev from Moscow from Patriarch Bartholomew. Stojićević argues that the US stands behind this step, as Bartholomew’s Constantinople Patriarchate is fully dependent on American money.

A Russian soldier's poem for his Mother.
(Translation by putingers_cat)

Mom, I beg, forgive me. As a soldier,
I heard a call that I could not ignore.
I was first at the enlistment office,
Got signed up, and now I’m at a war.

I am stubborn, as you know, like daddy.
That, alone, could never be enough.
This is different: Motherland is sacred.
Just as sacred as your pure love.

I know that you’ll understand me, mommy,
That there couldn’t be another way.
When the world is just about to crumble,
Russian soldiers square the mess away.

We’ll prevail again in usual fashion.
Mom, imagine, when I look at guys,
At my comrades, faithful sons of Russia -
Our grandfathers’ valor’s in their eyes.

This is why you shouldn’t really worry.
We’ve made up a single fist, we’re pumped!
For each other and for Russia’s glory,
We’ll again clean up this wicked dump.

Mom, I beg, forgive me, I’m a soldier.
May your prayer protect me from above.
Just remember: Motherland is sacred.
Just as sacred as your pure love.

Russia and Iran just connected all their banks.

52 Iranian banks under SEPAM and 106 Russian banks under SPFS can now talk to each other

We are seeing the birth of a new system where US sanctions won’t work

IRAN AND RUSSIA LINK THEIR BANKS IN NEW DEAL

The central banks of #Russian and #Iran have signed a deal to connect national #interbank communication and transfer systems to spur trade and facilitate transactions.

Circumventing #sanctions:
According to officials from Iran’s central bank, the deal is a big step forward in implementing countermeasures against banking sanctions applied to Iran and Russia.

The two local interbank systems cannot be sanctioned and their infrastructures are not controlled by other governments.

The contract is the first step outlined in the join action plan of banking cooperation signed in 2022 by the two central banks.

This will pave the way for all Iranian banks to interact with Russian lenders.
Representatives from the Russian side stated that their interest lies in enhancing ties with Iran’s banks, noting that the agreement will help promote bilateral trade.

Trade between Russia and Iran surged by 15% in 2022, reaching USD 4.6 billion, as per Russian government officials.

The two countries are taking big steps to build mutual trade.

It is important for them to use settlements in national currencies more actively.

Much has already been done in this regard – now the share of the ruble and the rial in mutual settlements exceeds 60%.

Work on the joint application of national payment systems is being completed.

A Chinese balloon is seen flying over the United States

#Archival footage of the project "Moby Dik" or "Project 119L". It started in the 1947s. Then the United States, under the guise of weather balloons, massively launched giant balloons to spy on the territory of the USSR. They could fly, land or then be taken to safe places for several days, and they were picked up by special services to shoot films from the camera. It was difficult to shoot them down because of the high flight altitude. For 20 years - from 1956 to 1977, 4112 reconnaissance balloons were registered in the USSR air defense system, of which only 793 were shot down.

Economist, pricing policy expert Pascal Perry: The fact is that Russia produces 90% of food for its own needs. They say that the life of Russians has not collapsed... I remember the statement of the head of the "Auchan" supermarket group, when the issue of closing the network in Russia was discussed, that 90% of supplies goods and food to Auchan are Russian-made. So, Russia is a country on self-sufficiency. And which has found situational allies.

Moderator: The conclusion is that the sanctions are hitting us. Prices are rising every day in Europe, but the Russians are ok!

Pascal Perry: But you can't compromise your principles. The same Germans and their dependence on gas. After all, Europe continues to buy Russian gas.

Moderator: Yes, because if we don't buy their gas, others immediately buy their gas.

Pascal Perry: Yes, but more expensive. In general, we subjected ourselves to sanctions. But we cannot do otherwise.
