💬 I believe that the exceptionalism and the absolute conviction in their own infallibility and superiority is the main reason why we are now opposing the countries that are using the Kiev regime to wage a hybrid war against us, although not exactly a hybrid war.
🔸 The United States and all other Westerners, whom the Americans have brought to the heel thus stripping the EU of the remaining attributes of independence, are widely known as “grand democrats.” However, discussions about democratic approaches to international issues leave them impassive.
❗️ The US have discarded all their principles at the snap of a finger, principles like the inviolability of private property, presumption of innocence, good-faith competition, market mechanisms, etc., which they were cultivating and imposing on others for decades as part of the globalisation package.
🔸 The current talk about transitioning to national currencies is not accidental. Who knows what side of the bed the US president will wake up on tomorrow, or who he will see as “unsympathetic.”
🔸 There are many who want to scare us with China. In my opinion, this is a game based on wanting to prevent us from cooperating and coordinating our positions in the economy or international affairs. There is no doubt that the plans signed by Russia and the PRC meet the interests of both Moscow and Beijing.
☝️ What matters at this point is not the time but the essence, the quality of results we will ensure for our people and those who want to remain part of Russian culture – the Kiev junta, with the West’s encouragement, was depriving them of all things Russian for many years.

Yes, we are all busy with Russia and Ukraine at the moment, but in the long run, China is a more serious problem. The US needs to work in multitasking mode. Yes, we should worry about the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, which is getting out of control and it is unknown what else will end. And I don't think anyone has a plan in Washington right now or in NATO, [but China is a bigger problem].

China balloon: US shoots down airship over Atlantic
The US has shot down a suspected Chinese spy balloon that has flown across America in the past week.
Three airports were closed and airspace was shut down off the South Carolina coast as US military planes targeted the object over the Atlantic Ocean.
According to the AP news agency, footage showed the balloon falling to the sea after a small explosion.
US President Joe Biden faced intense pressure to shoot it down since it first appeared across the US last week.
Tracking website Flightradar24 showed US Air Force and Coastguard aircraft operating in the skies between Wilmington, North Carolina, and Myrtle Beach.
The coast guard had also advised mariners to leave the area due to military operations "that present a significant hazard," the Associated Press reports.
The news agency, quoting unnamed officials, said President Biden had given the go ahead to bring the balloon down over the Atlantic Ocean, where debris can be retrieved.

N. Korea orders trading companies in Russia to select personnel to send to Ukraine
North Korea appears intent to send soldiers or police personnel — not civilians — to eastern Ukraine
North Korea’s government recently ordered North Korean trading companies in Russia to select personnel to send to Russian-hold eastern Ukraine so they can take part in reconstruction efforts, Daily NK has learned.
According to a Daily NK source in Russia recently, North Korea issued the order on January 20 to several trading companies, including the defence ministry-affiliated Cholhyon Construction and Kumrung Construction, which is affiliated with General Bureau 7 of the Ministry of Social Security.
Given that all the trading companies that received the order are affiliated with military or public security agencies, North Korea appears intent to send soldiers or police personnel – not civilians – to eastern Ukraine.
The government may have decided to do this because soldiers and public security personnel are easier to control and keep safe than civilians.
The personnel selected for the deployment to Ukraine are young men between the ages of 19 and 27; most are married, but left their families behind in North Korea.
Generally speaking, North Korean authorities prevent defections among workers posted abroad by sending married men who are forced to leaving their wives and children in North Korea.
PERSONNEL MAY ARRIVE IN UKRAINE IN MID-FEBRUARY OR MARCH
However, when taking into account all the orders issued to major trading companies, the first batch will likely be about 300 to 500 men, the source said.

Can be a good news. However, the source Daily NK is actually based in Seoul and is funded by the South Korea, so it may be a fake.

LISBON, Feb 4 (Reuters) — Portugal will send Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine, Prime Minister Antonio Costa said on Saturday, without specifying how many will be shipped.
Costa added that Portugal is in talks with Germany to obtain parts needed for the repair of a number of inoperable Leopard tanks in Portugal's inventory of the weapon.
"We are currently working to be able to dispense some of our tanks," Costa told Lusa news agency during a trip to the Central African Republic. "I know how many tanks will be (sent to Ukraine) but that will be announced at the appropriate time."

Contrary to what was said by João Cravinho and Helena Carreiras, Portugal will not send Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine. António Costa's decision and the reasons are not explained. These are vehicles of high technological complexity, which are very difficult to maintain, and whose ammunition costs a fortune and is scarce in the market.
António Costa thus contradicts the first statements by João Cravinho, Minister of Foreign Affairs, who said that Portugal would supply the Leopard to Ukraine. This would also be the intention of the Minister of Defence, Helena Carreiras, who, however, in the face of the prime minister's refusal, ended up announcing that the decision would be taken later.

Alexey Pushkov ridiculed the statement of the Prosecutor General of Germany about Moscow's non-involvement in accidents on the "Northern Streams".
He noted the ambiguity of the wording "there is no evidence that Russia is behind the bombings."
"It seems that since there is no evidence, it means that this is not Russia. But, on the other hand, there is just no evidence, and therefore — who knows ...," the senator wrote in his TG channel.
Pushkov noted that the whole world already knows who is behind the explosions. In particular, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic openly spoke about this.
Earlier it was reported that officially Berlin has not found a "Russian trace" in what happened to the "Nord Streams".

‘Putin assured me he wouldn’t kill Zelensky,’ Bennett recalls
“Do you intend to kill Zelensky?” Bennett recalled asking Putin, during an almost five-hour interview he gave to Israel’s Channel 12.
Russian President Vladimir Putin promised not to assassinate his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky when he met with former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett last year in the early days of the war.
“Do you intend to kill Zelensky?” Bennett recalled asking Putin, during an almost five-hour interview he gave to Israel’s Channel 12, that was posted on YouTube on Saturday night.
In that conversation, he recounted details from his well-known trip to Moscow on Shabbat in early March 2022, in an attempt to help broker a peace deal between the two sides.
Putin's pledge
While Bennett was not able to help end the hostilities, he was able to secure a pledge from Putin not to kill Zelensky, who at the time was hiding in a secret bunker to prevent such an assassination.
Putin assured Bennett, “I’m not going to kill Zelensky.”
Bennett replied, “I need to understand that you are giving me your word that you will not kill Zelensky” and Putin again promised not to do so.
Bennett called Zelensky while he was still in Moscow on his way to the airport from the Kremlin to tell him that he was not under a death threat.
“Are you sure,” Zelensky asked.
“One hundred percent,” Bennett replied. "Within hours Zelensky had returned to his office and made a video explaining that he was not afraid," Bennett said.

David Icke said this in 1998.
He is considered a conspiracy theorist by wikipedia. Maybe so.
Still, does anything from what he said in 1998 sound familiar now in 2023???

Moscow, Tehran Advance Plans for Iranian-Designed Drone Facility in Russia
The two countries are deepening a military partnership that has alarmed the West
WSJ NEWS EXCLUSIVE
Moscow and Tehran are moving ahead with plans to build a new factory in Russia that could make at least 6,000 Iranian-designed drones for the war in Ukraine, the latest sign of deepening cooperation between the two nations, said officials from a country aligned with the U.S.
As part of their emerging military alliance, the officials said, a high-level Iranian delegation flew to Russia in early January to visit the planned site for the factory and hammer out details to get the project up-and-running. The two countries are aiming to build a faster drone that could pose new challenges for Ukrainian air defenses, the officials said.

China expresses dissatisfaction and protest over US shooting down civilian airship; US sets bad precedent
By Chen Qingqing and Liu Xuanzun for the Global Times
China expressed strong dissatisfaction and protest on Sunday against the US' move to shoot down a non-threatening Chinese airship for civilian use, calling the US' move an overreaction and vowing to reserve the right to take necessary actions. By turning an unintentional accident into an incident that has been hyped by the US officials and media, Washington is adding new uncertainties into the already-intense relations with China, creating a bad precedent for blurring the line between civilian and military uses, experts said.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry expressed strong dissatisfaction and protested against the US' use of force to shoot down a Chinese civilian unmanned airship, urging the US to properly handle the incident.
...
Overreaction, bad precedent
The US shooting down the Chinese civilian balloon is also considered an overreaction from a technical point of view, said military aviation experts.
Despite admitting that the balloon did not pose a military or physical threat, an F-22 fighter of the US Air Force fired an AIM-9X air-to-air missile and shot down the balloon, supported by F-15 fighters, tankers and warships, the Pentagon said on the day on its website.
The missile was fired from the F-22 from an altitude of 58,000 feet (17,678 meters) when the balloon was 60,000 and 65,000 feet, the Pentagon said.
This is like shooting a mosquito with a cannon, which is not only overreacting but also impractical, a Chinese military expert who requested anonymity told the Global Times on Sunday.
Compared with an unmanned balloon that flies with the wind, the US interception method that featured an advanced stealth fighter jet and fired a missile is too costly. If more balloons, not necessarily from China, fly across the US, the US Air Force would be exhausted and may even be bankrupted in intercepting them in this way, the expert said.
It is more of a political show, as the balloon was only shot down after it already travelled across the US and was about to leave, experts said.
Some experts also believe that shooting down a harmless airship is like "shooting down an unarmed civilian," creating a bad precedent for interaction between China and the US.
It's widely known that US aircraft, appearing in civilian or military purposes, operate around China much more frequent than Chinese aircraft do around the US, Lü noted.
"If the US does not differentiate between civilian and military aircraft, then it has made a very bad precedent in treating the China-US relations," he said.
