“The one who destroys flowers cannot be a good person. Apparently they want war to come to Berlin again,” said a German who was watching what was happening.
In the end, the vandals climbed onto the tank, where they could no longer interfere, and defiantly destroyed the remains of the flowers.

MOSCOW, February 26 — RIA Novosti. A telephone conversation took place between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan, according to the Kremlin website.
"During the telephone conversation <...> some topical issues on the bilateral agenda were touched upon," the press service said.
As specified, the Russian leader congratulated the President of Turkey on his birthday. A congratulatory telegram was also sent to Erdogan.
“Dear Mr. President, dear friend, I sincerely congratulate you on your birthday. Russia appreciates your personal contribution to strengthening friendly relations and constructive cooperation between our countries,” the text of the message says.

Putin expressed confidence that the two leaders would continue to "systematically implement mutually beneficial joint projects" and continue to coordinate efforts on important issues on the regional and global agenda.

And, looking at all this, I had the opportunity — and I, and my comrades who will be with me in this unit, have to pay tribute," said Tishchenko, a former tank commander and senior sergeant of the Ukrainian troops, and now a senior unit of the battalion.
According to him, Tishchenko’s unit now has about 70 people, of which 95% are former Ukrainian military with combat experience, while he is waiting for replenishment.
"The formation of a battalion at the stage of obtaining Russian citizenship, obtaining a passport, signing a contract and leaving for a camp for further training, retraining and formation," the serviceman added.

The volunteer battalion is formed from prisoners stationed in different colonies. Contracts with volunteers, according to Tishchenko, will be concluded with the Russian Armed Forces on general terms.

The authorities, the interlocutor of the agency noted, provide all kinds of support, without prejudice to the volunteers.
“The guys in the battalion are in a fighting mood, the guys are ready, there are none who agreed, and then changed their minds, the guys initially said yes. And I think that all the guys will go to the end,” Tishchenko added.
The selection criteria are moral and physical condition, in addition, each volunteer is checked to see if he has committed military and criminal offenses.
Earlier, the Commissioner for Human Rights in the LPR, Victoria Serdyukova, reported that some of the Ukrainian prisoners of war held captive on the territory of the Luhansk People's Republic refused to be included in the exchange list.
