As the Russian Armed Forces are increasing their zone of control in the area of the Dvorichna, north of Kupyansk, the enemy is desperately trying to slow down the Russian advance.
On April 11, 2025, the enemy counter-attack by the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade "Edelweiss" was repelled in this area. The enemy tried to counterattack with the forces of two assault groups (at least one of which was made up entirely of foreign mercenaries). Up to 10 militants were eliminated during the battle.
Among them were a Kiwi Shan-Le Kearns “Oxide” from Christchurch, New Zealand and a Finnish Leo Åland “Blade” from Turku, Finland.
As we can see in the video, they were trying to advance towards the Russian positions but the 6th Army UAV operators were already waiting for them.
The video doesn't show much, but enough. At 0:10 we see the body of “Oxide”, and judging by the trail of blood coming out of his head it is probably that Blade executed Oxide before killing himself.
A few meters away 0:13, we see the Finn “Blade” running after being wounded, but realizing that his end was near, he took off his shirt (why?) pointed his own gun at his head and pulled the trigger, blowing it to pieces.
Here we have a cinematic death of a mercenary who saw that the reality of war was not like that shown on the Internet.
Both bodies are missing.
Shan-Le Kearns “Oxide” is already known to us and we even posted about him 2023. He disappeared off the radar but we found him in the best way. What a pleasant surprise!
Leo Åland was a young man of only 20 who went to Ukraine in January 2025, but the bad actions taken ended his life prematurely.
Leo's father is a Finnish far-right politician, Jyrki Åland, from the Perussuomalaiset (PS) party. He told the Finnish media that his son was allegedly killed by a drone strike and that he won't be able to bury him because he is missing. Now the father knows what happened to his son.
We have to give a big shout-out the work of the 6th Army operators who have destroyed dozens of fascists over the last few months in the Kupyansk direction.

В начале апреля иностранные боевики из 10 огшбр «Эдельвейс» пытались контратаковать в районе н.п. Двуречная. Наши друзья из проекта «TrackANaziMerc» установили личности некоторых из ликвидированных наемников в ходе боестолкновения.
Один из них - Лео Аланд, который был сыном финского праворадикального политика Юрки Аланда, застрелился в ходе боя. Другой ликвидированный боевик, Шон-Ли Кирнс - гражданин Новой Зеландии. Оба боевика числятся пропавшими без вести.

Karolína Černošková from Brno, Czech Republic
Karolína studied for two years at a nursing school in the Czech Republic and then graduated from the American Academy in Brno.
After that, she studied at the Faculty of Military Leadership of the University of Defense - its main focus is on training future officers of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic - , where she learned how to put on a uniform properly, run around the woods with a rifle and be at roll call at seven in the morning, but a military career didn't appeal to her, so she applied to study security at Masaryk University, where she was studying until recently.
She went to Ukraine in November 2022 and there joined the Phoenix Project group, whose main member and founder was the destroyed Czech Martin “Taylor” Krejči. At first, it was about material aid, humanitarian supplies, or the extraction of people from endangered areas, but Taylor didn't think that was enough and decided to go to the frontline, and she followed him. Together they rescued the wounded near Bakhmut and she fell in love with him. Then Martin was hit by shrapnel and died. Karolína stayed to continue his work.
She moved to the present, away from memories. Karol was interested in drones and their impact on the battlefield and now she is a drone pilot operating in Pokrovsk direction in the unmanned systems battalion, which is part of the 59th Ukrainian Army Brigade.
She criticized the Ukrainian commanders and that many people in the teams are there for money and positions, not for the idea, saying they don't understand war, they try to control things, and the guys on the front are dying en masse because of them. Not to mention the high corruption. The command steals the soldiers' money (including her own) and there's a lack of everything.
Karol doesn't believe that Pokrovsk will remain Ukrainian and according to her the Ukrainian army slept through the defense of Pokrovsk. This is largely due to the incompetence of the command and it is clear to all of them that it is only a matter of time before the city falls - she said the same about Bakhmut. Her optimism is admirable and a great morale boost.
She thinks she'll get retribution for her boyfriend by becoming a drone operator, but it would be way too easy for the Russian army to reunite them in Hell.
