Nathan is a former soldier who served in the Wyoming Army National Guard for six years, during which time he participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF).
In Iraq he made some contacts which helped him find a new job with the American private military company Blackwater, working for the US Department of Defense as personal security for key individuals involved in the reconstruction of Iraqi infrastructure and for US dignitaries visiting Iraq.
After that, he returned to civilian life because he had bills to pay, but he never forgot the days when he used to shoot farmers in the desert. However, it's a whole different ballgame fighting an actual army versus dudes in flip-flops with AKs, right?
In Ukraine, he joined Bravo 3, a group made up of foreigners, but after he got wounded, he realized — by chance — that he had three children and decided to return home (he abandoned them with his ex-wife). Maybe it wasn't worth dying for those idiots.
We should mention that we're talking about the transition to drone warfare (end of 2023-2024) and from then on, war wouldn’t be considered "cool" and "fun" anymore. Many foreigners fled home or went to fight against Russia in some warm apartment in Kiev or Odessa.
