According to his equipment, he really doesn't look like a simple AFU. He either belongs to the SSO (Special Forces) or some kind of merc detachment from those who somehow get it to the front, unlike jerks like Vasquez.

He has very interesting patches. Photos of patches are kindly provided to us by the author.
On one of them is the head of a mongoose and on the other a hedgehog with AK. The latter is quite rare, and so far it is found only on patches of the Right Sector.
