We were willing to write a big text about scammers among foreign mercs.

However, the New York Times beat us to it, and wrote an article Stolen Valor: The U.S. Volunteers in Ukraine Who Lie, Waste and Bicker.
They told about a decent number of well-known scammers, though in a very mild form.


Therefore, we decided to just make some comments on it.
The article pays most attention to Vasquez and Malcolm Nance. The main claim to Vasquez is that he stole the valor, posed as a fighter without being one, and more emphasizing that he lied about Iraq and Kuwait, and not arguing much with the fact that he lied about participating in the battles in Ukraine. Finally they saw it. Vasquez receives accusations from commentators on Twitter literally from his first videos that he does not appear in battles. Nothing about that many people already know, about 3 million $. The donations he collected, about the fact that he did not get out of the most expensive hotels in Lviv for months, emptying the bar there every day and spending money on strippers, 1.3k dollars that he collected from the fresh blood mercs. Now he has left Ukraine, how much did he keep for himself out of 3 million?


And what about Malcolm Nance? The article could not say anything bad at all on him. And he is essentially the same Vasquez, only twice as popular, he also sat mostly in Lviv away from the front, he also could not present anything to skeptics about his participation in the battles, he also collected donations. And most importantly, he promoted Vasquez, reposted him, and defended him during VasquezGate. We wonder how many donations he collected and took out of Ukraine?

About the Ripley’s Heroes, the article could only say about the supply of equipment prohibited for export, and a clever scheme that allows not to report on the funds spent. But Vasquez worked with them, which they themselves wrote about, and also mutually promoted each other, and they too were suspected of fraud from day one by skeptics. They were also promoted by Malcolm Nance.


To our great delight, there was a small place for Benjamin Lackey in the article. And it turns out that he was also promoted by the fraudster Malcolm Nance. They said about him that Ben was lying that he was a Marine to get into the Legion. Were you in the Legion, Ben? Aren't you lying like you lied that you're a manager and a Marine?



What explains the amazing softness of the Times to this net of scammers familiar with each other? Who promoted them to such popularity? We strongly suspect that it is a matter of political patronage. Malcolm Nance is a PR man for the Democrats and is associated with the prominent hawk and anti-trumpist Adam Kinzinger. By the way, he later managed to promote Vasquez and take a picture with him.


And we were also very surprised by the complete absence of any mention in this article of one transgender man, whose tweets became a trigger for VasquezGate. After all, he is not completely clean, he blackmails other scammers and hardly shares the amounts received with anyone.

Update on Miloš aka Sendy Storm.

Miloš is alive.

He just contacted Czech mercs who were worried about him.

It turns out that Miloš went to meet a woman that he met on online dating site but she gave him location too close to frontlines.

So he ended up in some forrest without signal and got scared that he Will have to fight for real this time.

Sendy Storm Miloš somehow managed to find a way back.

He promised to his Czech merc buddies not to meet dates from online in Ukraine.

But for real now, who knows where this loser went missing and came back from.

VasquezGate shitstorm begins to rise.
