Made a succulent terrarium with the kids. It was a lot of fun! All together it cost about $10. I used rocks I mined from a gem mine years ago, leftover potting soil, a terrarium I got from Goodwill for $5 and the succulents a local woman was selling for $1 each. Creating beauty in your does not have to cost much!

Thinking of planting bamboo. Anyone else done this?! We would have a trench dug like this, 22 or 28 inches deep and put in 80 mil root barrier to keep it contained. We know people that have 10-15 ft bamboo they are getting rid of for free because they never contained it and it spread. Tall, instant privacy fence sounds appealing! Would just have to pay for labor...
^^Great podcast episode while you are doing chores. Give it a listen! 👍🏻💗

Accurate? Life with a toddler boy:
You feed him a big breakfast and take care of his immediate needs. After half an hour, you finally sit down for coffee and your own breakfast. Your toddler whines and cries for your food, so you give him a piece of your jelly bagel. He licks all of the jelly off and gives it back to you. After he is full (for now), he runs off into each room and looks for things to destroy. Repeat for lunch and dinner time. 😂

How Not To Kill Your Garden:
When planning your garden, it is recommended to plant companion plants together for mutual benefit.
However, there are some plants which you *must* separate.
Here are some snaps of pages and pages of research on the companions and enemies of vegetables we are planting.
