Socialization is vitally important to children as well as adults. It may take some stepping outside of your comfort zone in order to find an inner circle of friends, but it's worth it.

Exchange phone numbers with people your age at church. Invite them over for tea, dinner or a playdate and get a feel for if they're friend material. Go to indoor or outdoor play places with your kids and strike up conversation with others there. If you have common interests, exchange numbers and invite them over. Join local hobby groups. Sign your boys up for Trail Life and your girls up for American Heritage Girls and hang out with other troop families. Find other ways to connect you and your kids with other likeminded people to build bonds and "life with" one another.

The "Melting Pot" experiment in our country was a failed experiment. Diversity is not our strength, it has been our downfall. Peaceful secession is the ideal answer. Let each of us voluntarily associate and pursue our own self determination!
