This Thanksgiving, I'd encourage you to read my series on the Pilgrim mythos. IMHO it's some of the best research & writing I've done over my 1/2 decade of blogging. I'm confident you'll learn something new. Here's to introspection & redeeming the time.  http://www.dissidentmama.net/puritans-part-1-coming-to-america/

I'm not turning over the homeland my ancestors lived hard lives and died hard deaths to make for my children.

I'm thankful for my ancestors' sacrifices.
I'm thankful for my children.
I'm thankful that I know that I have work to do to save our people.

Happy Thanksgiving
Lesbians shouldn’t be allowed to care for children.
A Shepard's pie/casserole is a great way to use your Thanksgiving leftovers! I put the stuffing on bottom (drizzle gravy or turkey juices on it to keep it from drying out), then a layer of turkey, then mashed potatoes and gravy on top. Heat in the oven at 400° for 30 min. What do you do with your Thanksgiving leftovers?
A tradition in our home:

The day after Thanksgiving we eat a Shepards pie/casserole with leftovers. After dinner I put on traditional Christmas hymns or acoustic music and we put up the Christmas tree. The kids help decorate the tree and our home. It's a joyful time and one of our favorite traditions that I hope my children continue with their own kids some day. Traditions are so important to children and families. What are some of your favorite family traditions?

Here you can donate directly to the victims of the Waukesha terror attack. You can also read the stories of 24 of the victims... help these folks if you can, if not with money then with prayers....

Homemade broth:

Put all bones & scraps in a slow cooker and cover them with 6-8 cups of water. You can also throw in a quartered onion, carrot, celery, bay leaf, etc to flavor it more. It’s a good way to use up older veggies. Let it slow cook all day and then strain the liquid into a large container and discard all the solids. Some people do extra straining through cheese cloth to try to remove all the fat, but I leave it in. Stock made from all the bones, cartilage and skin is so rich in nutrients like collagen that most of us don’t get enough of. If you leave the fat in, it’ll make a nice, natural seal on the top of your jar or container that preserves it. It can last a few months in the fridge like that. Put 2-3 cup portions into smaller containers in the freezer and pop them out when making soup or rice.
Today many Ukrainians and other people all over the world will light a candle in rememberance of the 88th aniversary of the Holodomor. The Holodomor, that is acknowledged by many nations to be a genocide against the Ukrainian people, was a famine manufactured by Stalin and the Soviet Empire in the years 1932-1933. Millions of Ukrainians died during this period because of the actions of the Communist regime.

The brutality of communism should never be forgotten or forgiven.

No matter how great you are at your job or how important your job is to someone, you are your husband's one and only wife and your children's one and only mother — and there is no job more important than creating a healthy family of whole people

It's remarkable to me that we ever lost sight of the truth.

Children learn best when they're involved in everyday activities and yearly traditions.
Made this delicious Fish Stew over rice with a friend the other night. You can tweak it how you like per your taste as far as subtracting jalapenos etc. So good! Recipe in the comments 😋

John 12:25:

He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal...

The Gospel of John is quickly becoming my favorite. We are always talking about how hard life is as a non compliant family. But -verses like this, quotes from Christ affirming we aren’t supposed to be comfortable in an evil world, bring us comfort.

So if you’re doing something for ease, comfort or convenience and you don’t agree with it - I urge you to please stop.
