Soon we will be planning the layout for 4 large galvanized watering troughs we will be using as raised garden beds in the Spring. I also plan to learn how to use my pressure canner to can our extra veggies we grow. We plan on getting a few silkie or buff orpington chickens and a coop this Spring as well.

We don't have a ton of land (the gardens and chicken coop/run area will be on about 1/4 acre, but we are using what we have. Make small steps towards self sufficiency! 💪🏻

Don't mind the poorly chosen cover, this is a phenomenal book with rich wisdom. Highly recommend this parenting book for Christians, Orthodox or not. It really put things into perspective!

What comes to mind when you think of the most empowering thing you have done in your life?

For me, it was the intensity of natural, drug-free childbirth and the rite of passage I felt when catching my babies in the bath tub. Hands down the most empowering moments of my life!

The most important thing you can do inside your home is spend time with your children. ✨

IMO There's nothing more empowering to a woman (other than childbirth and growing food) than being armed and trained, carrying protection when running errands when her husband isn't with her!!
