What's the going rate for a teenage babysitter in your area? 👩‍👧‍👦

We pay ours $10/hour to watch 3 young children. She's a homeschooled, American Heritage Girl with experience caring for younger siblings. What a Godsend!

I make sure the house is filled with snacks and drinks for her when she comes. I also lay out everything she will need for the evening to make it easier (utensils, plates, diapers etc). I'm also thinking about getting her a Gas Card for driving to our house.

My kids love when she comes over and I always see her snuggling my youngest in her arms. If you find a jewel of a babysitter, take care of her and make her feel appreciated! Boy, do I value my monthly date night with my husband! 🥰

Next week it will be an important week: the birthweek of Robert E. Lee. On January 19th we commemorate the Confederate general Robert Edward Lee. In the Saxon household we usually start to celebrate this day on the third Monday of January, until Lee’s actual birthday on the 19th. This wholesome assignment covers a range of subjects, such as poetry, history, citizenship and what it takes to be a good man. Always look at your local Buy/Sell groups "free" section for things like this. You can almost always get free moving boxes 📦📦 (and firewood 🔥 FYI)! I got at least $50 worth of free boxes and packing material today just making a 10 minute drive. 🙌🏻

Motherhood is helping to feed your 4 year old asparagus because he's been stalling with it and it squirts you right in the eye. 💦👀🤣

We got a couple inches and it's going to keep snowing most of the day. Hubby has the day off of work and we've been enjoying having him here, bundled up reading books and snuggling 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦👶🏼📚🥰

Really yummy way to get lots of healthy fats and kiddo friendly is raw chocolate milk.

(Measurements are approximate) In a blender I did two cups of raw milk, 4 raw eggs from our chickens, 1 Tbs bee pollen, 1 Tbs of raw honey, and 1-2ish Tbs of cacao powder (I used Earthley’s calming blend).
