The Olympics claiming an athlete failed or passed a "gender test” is NOT science. A person with the SRY gene (sex determining region Y gene), found on the Y chromosome, is male.

Males have physical advantages over females. There are rare situations, perhaps in one/both or neither of these boxers, where male development and appearance is atypical and/or not functional.

However, that does not change the fact that any person with this gene is male. That is because there are only two gametes. Even those rare persons born with a true physiological abnormality are still ONLY either male or female, because all people (in fact, all mammals) are designed to potentially produce only one type of gamete: eggs or sperm.

There is NO spectrum of gametes.
You cannot change your biological sex.
