🚨 California is being investigated by the Department of Homeland Security for allegedly providing federal benefits to immigrants who are in the US Illegally. The California Cash Assistance program is being subpoenaed over the matter. Federal officials are accusing the program of helping migrants receive benefits even though they're not eligible for Social Security. We have reached out to Governor Newsom's office for comment, but have not heard back.
