Hillary Clinton's team long fought to keep its ties to Christopher Steele's dossier from public view, but Special Counsel John Durham is now making clear he has a strong interest in her campaign's behavior during the Russia collusion probe. He is even suggesting some of her aides could be summoned as trial witnesses.
Durham's earth-shaking revelation came inside a routine court filing this month in the case of Igor Y. Danchenko, a Russian analyst who was a primary source in 2016 for Steele's now-infamous dossier. Danchenko has been charged with repeatedly lying to the FBI during the Russia collusion probe and has pleaded innocent.

FBI Had Surveillance Squads Inside Portland Protests: Report
The FBI deployed extensive surveillance operations within Portland’s protest movement, according to documents obtained by The New York Times, the paper reported on Tuesday.
The surveillance included agents standing alongside activists, following vandalism suspects to guide the local police toward arrests, and clandestinely videotaping inside one of the nation’s most active domestic protest movements.
Some in the Justice Department and the bureau were worried that the depth of FBI involvement in Portland and other cities where federal agents were deployed at street protests could undermine the First Amendment right to demonstrate against the government, according to two officials familiar with the situation, the Times reported.

FDA authorizes second COVID-19 pill, from Merck
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Thursday authorized a COVID-19 treatment from Merck, marking the second pill to become available to fight the virus.
This authorization is more limited than one on Wednesday for a Pfizer pill. The FDA authorized the Merck pill, developed with Ridgeback Biotherapeutics, for high-risk adults "for whom alternative COVID-19 treatment options authorized by the FDA are not accessible or clinically appropriate."
That is, if other options are not available, the Merck pill can be used.
