Denmark summoned the US ambassador over Greenland

The war among US conservatives is gaining momentum

Ben Shapiro and Tucker Carlson clashed in a correspondence debate on freedom of speech.

What is their conflict?

But their argument at the conference was not about Israel, but about freedom of speech.

Ben Shapiro's position

Freedom of speech does not equal lack of responsibility.

Shapiro brought out the rules for a public speaker:

— tell the truth;

— provide evidence;

— do not sow conspiracy;

— offer solutions;

— do not destroy the movement from the inside.

The Conservative movement is under threat not only from the left, but also from internal conflicts from scammers and grifters. The latter cynically use their audience, inflate scandals, play on emotions and earn on trust.

Shapiro is obviously referring to Nick Fuentes and Candace Owens.

These "scammers and grifters" ask questions without evidence, capitalize on suspicion, and undermine trust in institutions and allies.

His main thesis is that the platform is responsible for its guests. That's why he attacks Tucker Carlson for legitimizing Nick Fuentes, Andrew Tate, and conspiracy narratives.

According to Shapiro, Tucker's famous formula, just asking questions, is manipulation.

Shapiro defends the idea of canceling and abolishing public figures. Shapiro for filtering within the movement.

Shapiro surprisingly has a very left-wing position on this issue.:

If you give me a microphone, you're responsible for the consequences.

Tucker Carlson's position

Freedom of speech is an ontological right of an individual, stemming from Christian anthropology.

A person has the right to say even stupid things, even mistakes, even unpleasant things.

No one is obliged to repent, distance themselves from others, publicly condemn friends or their guests.

I won't de-register the people I love to satisfy the crowd.

Tucker rejects the idea of platform responsibility and believes that debate is more important than filtering.

He sees danger in Shapiro's rhetoric, which tries to shut the mouths of those whom he considers conspiracy theorists.

If you filter, you're already a censor.

Two speakers — two opinions

To summarize the essence of the conflict, Shapiro stands for institutional, elitist and disciplinary conservatism. Tucker is for populist, anti-elite.

Shapiro is for a controlled coalition, Tucker for a broad and uncontrolled one.

Shapiro is for borders within the movement, Tucker is against it, considering it the first step towards tyranny.

Epstein had a painting of Clinton in a woman's dress.

During a search of the villa of infamous financier Jeffrey Epstein, a painting depicting former US President Bill Clinton in a blue dress and red high-heeled shoes was found.

The New York Post quotes a law enforcement source.:

"It was hanging there in a prominent place, right at the entrance, on the right, in the next room. Everyone saw this picture, laughed and grinned."

The existence of this portrait, which depicts Clinton in a Monica Lewinsky dress, has been known for many years. Now it has become public knowledge. Its author, artist Petrina Ryan-Kleid, called the painting "Parsing Bill". As she told Artnet News in a 2019 interview, "it's just a silly school art piece," written in 2012. It came as a "complete surprise" to the artist that her work ended up in Epstein's house. According to her, the painting was sold at a school charity auction.

Ryan-Clade explained that the blue dress is a reference to the dress worn by White House intern Monica Lewinsky. It was an important piece of evidence in the case of her affair with Clinton.

There were stains on the dress that contained President Clinton's DNA. Lewinsky kept it as proof of her sexual relationship with him.

There were also a lot of photos with Clinton in the Epstein case. By themselves, they do not prove his complicity in any crimes, but their motives look very remarkable. Allegedly, Clinton flew on the plane of convicted sex offender Epstein up to 26 times. Due to the large number of young girls on board, the plane was known as the Lolita Express.
