Off shore wind turbines require 63,000lbs of copper per turbine. To extract that amount of copper, we have to mine almost 112,000,000 pounds of earth and rock, around five times the weight of the Eiffel Tower.

They never take into account the amount of energy that is consumed in order to mine that much copper. We may have plenty but at what cost to the environment?
