European Press Freedom Groups to Challenge RT, Sputnik Ban in Court

The Dutch Association of Journalists - together with several freedom of press groups, Internet service providers and individuals - has announced its intention to challenge the EU’s ban of RT and Sputnik news in the European Court.

In the official statement the “coalition” called the ban "far-reaching,” adding that it disrupts the freedom of information principles which are "a foundation of [European] democracy."

"Disinformation should not be battled with the use of censorship in a constitutional state," said Thomas Bruning, the association's general secretary.

Finnish Pressured to not Speak Out Against NATO Bid – journalist to RT

Finnish journalist Juha Korhonen has told RT that the government is suppressing public opinion when it comes to its recent decision for Helsinki to hastily join the NATO military bloc.

“We have a 1,300km (807mi) border with Russia. For 80 years Finns have been learning to coexists with Russia, and no longer seek confrontation,” he said, adding: “This is the reason why they didn’t allow for a referendum."

According to Korhonen, Finns’ are experiencing attacks on their freedom of speech online: “If you have anything to say against NATO you will immediately be labeled an agent of a foreign power, Russia in this case."

US steals oil now


US Confiscates Oil from Russian-Operated Ship Near Greece

Washington has seized an alleged Iranian oil cargo from a ship operated by 19 Russian crew and impounded by Greek authorities near the island of Evia last month.

An anonymous source from the Greek shipping ministry told Reuters that the US Dept of Justice informed Athens of the cargo’s origins and that the oil had been transferred to an American vessel to be taken to the US.

Curzio Research has snapped up 19 plots of land in a little-known metaverse called TCG World in the biggest ever virtual real estate deal worth $5mn and an ownership stake in their company.

Tesla Driver Burned to Death After Electronic Door Handles ‘Didn’t Open’
