Here is my thought....... He is a big beautiful Elk and graceful as it gets. ....... I guarantee you that two guys trying to carry a box as wide as his rack thorough them trees could not hardly do it and sure as hell is going to take them longer. To see an Elk disappear in a forest is almost magical..... or to even see a moose disappear is as well. Something that big and just with a turn is gone. .....That my friends is a wonder of not only nature but for a man in the woods with a rifle as well.

A few days ago we reported that Fox News stated that there was a car bombing at the Rainbow Bridge and that there was a link to terrorists.

Fox News got it wrong and therefore we did as well in passing the story forward to you, our readers. We have since learned that a stuck gas pedal possibly caused the incident in a $300k Bentley.

I am not saying that there is a terrorist involved, but the target may have been the couple themselves. Facts are slowly emerging in this incident.

The couple who were both 53 at the time of their passing have been identified as Kurt and Monica Villani. Apparently the owners of two lumber companies in New York.

It is reported by friends of the family that the Villani started a tradition of passing out turkeys to over 250 families in the area where they lived six years ago.

Friends also reported that Kurt had been having an issue involving the fuel pedal with the Bently. While this could be an explanation for the crash and subsequent explosion it has not been verified through testing or investigation at this time.

In other words, anyone who is saying so is speculating like Fox News in reporting it as a terrorist attack. I for one, would rather tell you the truth and the truth is we do not know yet the cause.

We only know who has been reported killed in the accident. We know where the accident took place. I like you want the facts immediately, instead of speculation.

We try every day to do just that, but when the information we are receiving is speculation reported as facts, we end up looking like fools. Do I think there is value in being first with the news? Only if it is factual.

I would rather be late and accurate with the information we provide you as would my staff and admins. We apologize for taking this long to clear up the facts.

Facts are best measured by their accuracy like a bullet on target. Not when we are not hitting the paper. I like to think that we are more right than we are wrong because we filter information from a lot of sources.

We try and cross-check it as much as possible before delivering it. However, being that this happened on Wednesday right before a major false holiday some of our checks were regulated to a better to get it wrong and go with it than be on target due to the potential that it could have indeed been what Fox News had reported.

It is much easier for me to say we got it wrong and you forgive us in understanding that we balanced it against the safety of the moment.
