Этоша означает «великое белое место», поскольку парк представляет собой огромное пространство из белой, покрытой солью земли. Слоны покрывают себя глиной из пана Этоша, чтобы защитить себя от жары намибийского солнца. ☀️
Когда они греются на солнышке, глина высыхает и приобретает белый вид — обычно люди думают, что они статуи, особенно издалека!

❗️Greek plane crash KILLS Netanyahu trial witness & wife (Times of Israel)
Former Israeli Communications Ministry deputy general Haim Geron - a key witness in the corruption trial of Benjamin Netanyahu - and his wife have died after the plane he was flying crashed in Greece.
Greek media claim a technical fault is the most likely cause for the single-engine aircraft’s disaster near the island of Samos, which didn’t claim any other victims.
Geron gave evidence in the former PM’s trial involving a multi-million dollar communications contract Netanyahu allegedly illicitly facilitated in exchange for favorable media coverage.
