Australia's first "Hate Speech" law, Section 20C of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act was the result of ten years of Jewish lobbying within the bureaucracy.
Two years after the Anti-Discrimination Act itself was passed, a Jew named Paul Stein was appointed as president of the board.
He subsequently created a working group to address "racial hatred and antisemitism", appointed NSW Jewish Board of Deputies member Ian Lacey to lead it and ensured Jews were well represented along with official ethnic organisations.
Various Jews then positioned themselves within those ethnic organisations in order to influence the group to ask for restrictions on speech.
In the background they had at least one meeting of Jews to decide what laws to lobby for.
