Readying for a catastrophic terror attack or a biological weapon unleashed in the subway - these are images from a joint training exercise between the US Army and NYC’s first responders on Randall Island. (NY Post)

Around 170 soldiers from Task Force 46 participated in the 3-day “Dense Urban Terrain Exercise” – almost 1-month before the 20th anniversary of 9/11.

The training ranged from “victims” being carried on stretchers through dark tunnels – while carriages were dimly lit in orange to simulate fire - to drills in the event of an urban radiological disaster.
