❗️Evergrande crisis latest blow - no money to pay 20 Sept loan interest

Chinese property giant Evergrande is teetering even closer to the edge of disaster as government housing officials notified banks they won’t even be able to meet loan interest repayments due in five days. (Bloomberg)

The company is still in discussions with banks about extending payment deadlines on loans, as regulators grow even more concerned at the risks to the whole country’s financial systems.
