A friend sent me this story about his base - Buckley AFB in CO - you may remember this base as the same one that fired Col. Lohmeier this year over having competing opinions due to the long, slow, march.

“Brace for Possible STORM” - China Readies Local Govts for Evergrande Collapse on Deadline Day (Report)
Beijing appears to be unwilling to bail out construction empire Evergrande, reportedly instructing local authorities to prepare for the worst amidst the group’s battle to survive. (Wall Street Journal)
Chinese authorities have delegated the task of maintaining law and order in the event of Evergrande’s demise, and to help offset the disastrous ripple effect in the job market expected.
Although on Wednesday a deal was agreed over a domestic bond repayment, on Thursday a major offshore repayment deadline is due - and markets are bracing for bad news.

U.S. Envoy to Haiti QUITS over "inhumane deportation policy"
After just two months in the job, Daniel Foote has resigned as U.S. envoy to Haiti as he refuses to be linked to the "inhumane, counterproductive decision to deport thousands of Haitian refugees".
At least 12 flights are reported to have returned some 1,400 Haitians from Texas, with Biden pledging to close the immigration camp in Del Río, which housed 14,000 Haitian would-be immigrants.
To add to the Biden administration's bad press, footage from nearly 30 years ago has recirculated of Biden claiming "it wouldn't matter" if Haiti sank into the sea... AGAIN!

This (below) is a very poignant story from another of God’s Warriors. We’ve been beat up and torn down and come back stronger and ready to fight. One thing we have in common is that we’ve learned that we can build ourselves back up through Love and Light - aka GOD. ✨💕✨

I was married once upon a time... Went on a cruise for our honeymoon; a 9 day trip to Mexico on Princess Cruise Lines. The SECOND day of the trip was an at sea day, as we made our way from San Francisco down to Catalina Island.
My (then) husband and I met three other couples while hanging out down it the pool area. We socialized with them for a few hours and yes we were all on vacation so we were all drinking, and swimming and dancing and having a great time. In the mid afternoon, we all went back to our rooms, which were all "coincidently" located on the same deck and on the same side of the ship, and hung out for hours, bouncing between the rooms. In the evening, we all decided to dine together.
At the end of dinner, most of the group was tired and went back to their rooms to sleep. My husband and a couple of the other husbands went to gamble in the casino. I was fried from the days activities and just wanted to go back to the room and pass out, but realized I didn't have my key. Not wanting to walk me back to get it, my husband gave me his key and told me to flip the latch and then shut the door; so it would be open a crack and he could get in when he needed to.
I made my way back to the room, flipped the latch like he said and passed out. At some point I woke up because there was someone climbing up on top of me and kissing my neck. It was one of the other husband's from the group. He was whispering " it's okay, Greg sent me up here. It's okay, it's okay." I said "what are you doing?! Get off of me!" and tried to force him off but he was much larger than I was. He kept trying to reassure me that my husband had given him the greenlight.
Being quite intoxicated still and trying to gather my senses I looked around the room and noticed our ice bucket on the side table. So I yelled as loud as I could "get the fuck off of me or I'm going to stab you with an ice pick" and I began reaching out towards the ice bucket. This rattled him and he got off and left the room.
I sat there shaking crying in shock for a couple of minutes waiting for someone to come in and rescue me. When no one did, I got up and left to look for my husband. Found him in the casino and told him what happened. We immediately went to the staff who directed us to the on board police authority.
They took our statements and told us they would speak with us in the morning. When they did, they informed us that there was nothing they could do because..
A) They questioned the other husband ((Mike Knorr from Citrus Heights California, don't think for a second that I will ever forget who you are you vile piece of garbage)) and his story was that he thought when I told my husband I was leaving the door open, I was signaling him to come to my room ((not that it matters, or that I'm full of myself or superficial, because I'm such a humble person in regards to my looks - but I'm a 9 on a bad day and this guy was a 5 at best - and I was on my fucking honeymoon so there was no signaling going on))
B) I had left the door to my room open, allowing myself to become vulnerable to anyone.
C) They spoke to one of our cabin stewards who had delivered beers to the group (when we were partying between the rooms) and he remembered everyone being intoxicated.
D) They corroborated the steward's claims with other staff who also saw the group drinking at the pool that day.
So basically because I was drunk, I was asking for trouble. And because I hadn't locked my door when trouble came knockin, I was responsible for allowing the trouble into my room. That was day 2 on a 9 day trip, stuck on a fucking boat with someone who had just assaulted me and who would have likely raped me had I not resisted.
