Was at a wedding this weekend where everyone was maskless, except for this one dude in his mid-20s who proceeded to wear it throughout the entire night, even on the dance floor as he shook it like the beat-blind bitch he was. It’s something I’ve noticed as of late: the people clinging to this insane shit are becoming WAY more insane and WAY easier to identify. They’re doubling down on Faucism as it has become their religion. But as reality continues to contradict the core tenets of their devout faith in fear, boy are they going to externalize in hilariously embarrassing ways.

The people who are hanging onto their masks, ie “woobies” are becoming more and more fear-filled and desperate…Not less, from what I’ve seen. Their eyes are full of fear. And that’s if you can even get them to look at you.
I try.
Every day I look them in the eyes and SMILE AT THEM. I’m not mocking them. I’m reminding them what it feels like to connect to another human being. To take their fear away, if even for a moment. Even if it isn’t what they ‘want’.
