Theory on why Jesus was a carpenter before His ministry (besides that it was probably what Joseph did).
Jesus created everything.
Carpenters build stuff.
Jesus is of the habit of creating.
Same happens when you & I believe the gospel of Jesus Christ: Christ creates someone new.
Paul writes that we are a new creation. The old is gone. The new has come.
Christ creates. He transforms.
Christ is purposeful - He doesn’t “just wing it.”
So while Christ waited until He was 30yo to teach (a Jewish custom was that men could not teach until they were 30), Jesus was a carpenter.
Just building things.
Waiting until His time to overcome sin & build His Church.
Now, let’s get to work.
