I want address the missing children thing for a sec. There are so many that go missing that we can’t comprehend it. So, as a society, we don’t.
Phrases like, “Most of them are runaways”, or “many are misreported” just don’t hold water.
It’s straight cognitive dissonance. We see a mini-series on TV making a big deal about one case and we think that we’ve got things covered, that people are looking into these missing kid cases. When in reality, the “system” is full of loopholes. And when you throw in the knowledge that there are many who were never reported as missing in the first place - because they are unregistered for a myriad of reasons, you begin to understand what an incredible tragedy has been taking place.
As a parent, I cannot comprehend the horror of having a child go missing. My heart goes out to all the families out there who have had this happen and have learned the truth about what may have befallen their precious child. My heart breaks with the understanding of what that must feel like. There are no words.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Please grant the peace that only You can provide to the families of all missing children. They need Your help, Lord. We all need Your help.
We ask you to intervene.
May Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
