It was founded by a woman (with a very strange low voice, now that I think about it) named Elizabeth Holmes. The company was a complete fraud and the story is quite intriguing. What’s even more interesting is who sat in its board — Mad Dog Mattis, George Shultz and none other than Henry Kissinger.
I shit you not.

The book is by John Carreyrou and is incredibly well researched. The movie is good, too if you’re not the reading type. The story completely captured my attention much like some other documentaries have. The ones about Scientology and NXIVM, come to mind. Same vibe. Same sense that there’s something much more sinister going on.

Now that I see Mattis’ name coming up again, I think, “Holy crap! What’s the REST of that story? There’s gotta be more to it.” Methinks the fact that they were messing about with people’s BLOOD is no coincidence.
