He noted that before Kate began testifying, Judge Nathan instructed the jury that this witness is not considered a victim associated to the indictments currently being brought against Maxwell. I.e. she is strictly testifying as a witness, and not an interested party.

Additional reporting of Kate's testimony reflects the praise that Maxwell gave to her after sexual encounters with Jeffrey Epstein, saying she was a "good girl".
Kate testified that she went to Epstein's island in her 20s, where she saw a girl who seemed far younger than her at the time.
She wanted to testify under the pseudonym "Kate" because she has a child now that she doesn't want involved with this case. She stopped contact with Epstein in her 30s, when she became a mother and after initiating contact with him while he was in prison.
Kate also received $3.25 million from the Jeffrey Epstein Victims fund.

🔹The sentencing was the first in a series of cases in which Suu Kyi the is being prosecuted. The verdict in another case against her is expected next week.
🔹In mid-November, the military-appointed election commission announced it intended to prosecute Suu Kyi & 15 other senior political figures for fraud in the last election. The military seized power because of widespread election fraud.
