Government witness: Janine-Gill Velez - Human Resources staffer of 15 years for Mar-A-Lago/Florida Property Management

She testified validating a hiring record for a Sky Roberts who is also known as Virginia Roberts and now Virginia Giuffre. Virginia has filed other court cases against Epstein and a number of other alleged abusers, though she has not been listed as a victim in this case against Maxwell. Carolyn testified yesterday that Virginia was the one to introduce her to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.

NOTE: Before the trial began today, Judge Nathan discussed a number of items with the Prosecution and Defense. See screenshots - reporting on this discussion isn't as clear as one would hope. They seem to be discussing instructions to be given to the jury regarding the legal age of some of the victims and the legal age of consent during allegations in specific states. This was a consistent topic during pre-trial discussions as well.

Government witness: "Shawn". A protected witness previously described by the witness "Carolyn". He is testifying under a pseudonym. Previous reports have spelled his name "Sean". Both refer to the same person, this witness.

Shawn's testimony corroborates much of Carolyn's, stating he dated her for several years starting when she was 14 and that he saw two other girls go to Epstein's house when they were 15 and 16, leaving with hundreds in dollars.

I will continue sharing what the reporters are sharing from the courtroom today. Again, there is no way for the public to observe this trial other than relying on these accounts and perspectives of what is happening at the court. Most of the exhibits are sealed and most of the witnesses are anonymous.
