This is a beautiful message,thank you. Our stories sound similar, I was raised in chaos, abandonment issues and so much fear. I drank like a fish to mask the pain of being me. So angry with everyone and everything. No room for joy. I will be 9 years sober on Jan 6 and it is only since waking up 12 months ago, to all this pain in the world, that I am actually able to forgive and let go.
For years people were telling me to let it go... I hadn’t a clue. It’s only since waking up to who I am, what we are and where we are going am I able to let go, of anger, pain. Now in this madness I feel hope, love, forgiveness.
These are sporadic too as I ain’t no saint, but I am learning at an accelerated rate how to do these things.
Boundaries are a great way for self love because if I haven’t forgiven myself or love myself then it cannot be forwarded.
I find turning forgiveness and love inward more difficult than paying it forward. But getting better daily.

Listened to a woman relay what God showed her when she had an NDE. She thought he was going to show her all sorts of nasties but what he showed her was when she thought ill of someone that thought clung to them and attracted more of the same to them. But that negativity also attached to her and attracted more of that onto her too. Forgiveness was the key and taking back those thoughts. Gossip is also one of these negative things that cause untold damage back to our selves...
