СEO forced to tap OWN SHARE in Evergrande to pay debts
China Evergrande Group founder and chairman Hui Ka Yan has sold more of his own shares in the company in an attempt to keep the defaulted property developer afloat.
Once China’s second-richest person, Hui sold 277.8 million shares, lowering his stake in the company to 59.78% from 61.88%, according to Friday’s filings to the Hong Kong stock exchange.
The transaction value was not disclosed, but given the average price at which the shares traded this week, it was likely around $64 million.

NHS Website Crashes AGAIN as UK Announces First Omicron DEATH
The NHS booster booking website crashed for the second time just hours after Boris Johnson announced plans to jab all UK adults with boosters by New Year – the PM also confirming the first death due to the Omicron strain during a visit to a vaccination clinic in west London Monday morning.
Although the govt had apparently intended for most of the nearly 1mn-a-day boosters to be covered by walk-in appointments, the website queue to book appointments reached over 10k people.
The Omicron variant now reportedly makes up 40% of all Covid infections in London.

Ghislaine Maxwell’s brother Ian told The Spectator’s Americano podcast that his sister believes Jeffrey Epstein did NOT commit suicide but was murdered.
"I don’t buy a lot of the conspiracy theories at all,” Ian said. “I’m content myself to rely on a suicide but, you know, it doesn’t really matter, the man’s dead.”
He also added Ghislaine was their only sibling who believed their father, former media tycoon and MP Robert, was murdered despite an inquest declaring accidental drowning as the cause.

Rand Paul has accused vaccine zealots of wanting to “get your newborn inoculated before they leave the hospital”, slamming the group’s stance as “outrageous and ignores the science”.
He also took aim at Dr. Anthony Fauci, who he says is “not obeying science. He’s sort of granting his impulse to authoritarianism. His default position is always, how can I control people? How can I regulate people?”
“He’s not going to be too happy with the Paul family Christmas. We have 57 for Christmas, no vaccine passport. The only requirement is that you have read and understand the Constitution,” he quipped.

Broken!
I was in Dollar General last night, and there was a lady and two kids behind me in the LONG line. One was a big kid, and the other one was a toddler. The bigger one had a pack of glow sticks, and the toddler was screaming for them. The Mom opened the pack and gave him one which stopped his tears. He walked around with it smiling; but then the bigger boy took it, and the toddler started screaming again. Just as the Mom was about to fuss, the older child bent the glow stick and handed it back to the toddler. As we walked outside at the same time, the toddler noticed that the stick was now glowing; and his brother said, "I had to break it so that you could get the full effect from it."
I almost ran, because l could hear God saying to me, "I had to break you to show you why I created you. You had to go through it so you could fulfill your purpose."
That precious child was happy just swinging that "unbroken" glow stick around in the air, because he didn't understand what it was created to do - which was "glow".
There are some people who will be content just "being," but some of us are chosen... we have to be "broken."
We have to get sick.
We have to lose a job.
We go through a divorce.
We have to bury our spouse, parents, best friend, or our child...
In those moments of desperation, We were broken. But... when the breaking is done, then we will be able to see the reason for which we were created. So when you see us glowing, just know that we have been broken
