Where do we find the Word of God? Is it only in the Bible? Is it only in sacred texts, written millennia ago?
How could this be, when God lives now in all things and through the people? His Word is all around us in every minute of every day. It is within our minds, waiting for us to choose to listen. It is in the breeze rustling through the trees. The sound of a child laughing. The feel of sunlight on our faces.
And it is also in the tears we shed, the heartaches we endure, the cold as it bites our faces and even the sun when it burns our skin.
It is in the words of our brothers and sisters. It’s in the mundane, the profane and the lofty. The Word of God is Life. Do you not see that you have access to it at every moment of every day? Do you not understand that God is speaking to you even now?
Don’t relegate it to a book, or rare moments of spiritual clarity. This is foolishness and not what was intended for you as you experience this life.
Open your heart and the Word will flow through you. And you will know that the Word of God is accessible in every moment. It will show up for you in surprising ways and will bless your days in ways you cannot imagine if you confine your idea of what it is to an old book.

Truly think that when I look back on this period of time in our lives, there will be some memories that stick out to me:
How scared I was at first and how I came about waking up to the fake propaganda
Everyone I've met since Twitter to Telegram and the months of 1-2am voice chats that followed there for a while
Boycotting the airlines and driving cross country 2x with 3 kids (4yo and under)
Finally seeing a single soul inside of a grocery store who wasn't wearing a mask besides myself
The people I'd have come up to me THRILLED to see another person without a mask
Forcing myself to stand up for my community workers and children - complaining to management every single week for the HEB employees who were forced to wear masks and going to school board meetings to fight for my children's future even though I am homeschooling
Quitting a brokerage whose broker I'd learned was on the very school board I was about to go to war with and was pushing masks and vaccines
The late night Bible studies, going deep with God in prayer and meditation just because I thirsted for it for truly the first time in my life
Being blessed enough to witness the rest of the world waking up, as painful as that has been and meeting people in my own community who love God and truth and are living life with their eyes open and their foot on the gas.
What will be some of your favorite memories?
