Come on TRUTH! Please break through.

Even as far back as AD 55, there was a problem with man relying on his own logic and knowledge as opposed to the Word of God and spiritual discernment.

1 Corinthians 1:18-19 says:

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written:
“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”

If nothing else, I think we can safely say that the wisdom of those put up in front of us as “wise” is being destroyed. These self-proclaimed scientists and scholars who believe themselves to be all-knowing are fools. I’m not saying that searching for knowledge is bad, but it MUST be tempered with transcendent knowing and a greater understanding.

However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.

But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

What do you see? Oxygen and Nitrogen particles, or a sign? And if you see a sign, does that make you foolish? Imagine what people would say if you looked up at that and said, “What an amazing sign from God!”

Their answer is what is wrong with our society. As is our hesitancy to speak because of it.

Why do I write each morning and send it out into the world?

Do I think I have all the answers? No.
Do I place myself above anyone else out there who is also seeking truth?
No.
Do I have a large “following”? No.
Do I expect anything out of this for myself?
No.

I do this because God asked it of me. I am compelled. That is all I need to know. I try to follow where He leads me and I trust that He will get the right words to the right people at the right time.
