I’m led to touch on this topic again today…

The gap between the different thought systems out there.

There are many. But there is one MAJOR split and it has the potential to cause all kinds of problems. In fact it already has.

Yes, I’m talking about the divide between the “traditionally religious” and the “new agers”.
(I’m using these terms because they are generally well understood, not necessarily because they are the most accurate.)

If you’ve been with me here for a while, you know that it is a passion of mine to get people to see that we are actually all speaking about the same things, but just using different language and different background information.

The time for division and infighting is OVER. Either you realize that ANY form of division is harmful not just to humanity, but to YOURSELF, or you don’t. At this point, if you don’t see it, then I’m going to explain to you…

When you judge another person, especially when it comes to their beliefs about God and their personal journey to find Truth, you are ultimately bringing judgement upon yourself. You are trying to distance yourself from the “other” by labeling and projecting because your ego is calling the shots. In the end, that judgement comes back to YOU. There is a very good reason why Jesus taught not to do this; as did Buddha, Krishna and many more Masters.

It’s time to unite.
Open your eyes.
Open your mind.
Open your heart.
And stop being afraid that you’re “going to go to hell for sinning”, or entertaining evil ideas, or whatever it is that is keeping you from welcoming your Brother or Sister into your heart. Even if this post pisses you off, deep down you know I’m right. And if this post does piss you off, then that should be your first clue that something needs to be addressed. Anger is the result of projection. Projection is induced by FEAR.
Fear does not come from God.
So, just stop.

Choose LOVE.

Blessings to you on this Good Friday.

Many in the church community would have you believe that meditation is somehow evil or sinful. That it is something to be afraid of.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

If you do not already have a meditation practice, I encourage you to start. It’s not difficult. There is no “right way” to do it. And if anyone starts to get you wrapped up in thinking there is some huge process that needs to take place, or that you have to “be ready” in some way, just tune that out.

You need that no man teach you…

Sit down. Close your eyes. And Be Still so you can listen. That’s it.
Your mind will wander. Gently bring it back to stillness time after time, without judgement.
It can be helpful and calming to just focus on your breath.
In.
Pause.
Out.
Pause.
Repeat.

Frequency music can also be helpful. But just look for what feels right to YOU.

May Blessings rain down upon you today. Remember that the focus of today is NOT Jesus’ suffering. Do not ruminate on that as the church would have you do…walking the stations of the cross or sitting and contemplating the pain of His ordeal. NO! This is the wrong focus and is not what He wanted. It is not what He came to teach.

Focus on the Love, the Life and the Miracle. Let Joy into your heart today.
