An early Harvest Moon rises Saturday. Here's what to expect for September's full moon

The full moon of Saturday (Sept. 10) also carries the noscript of the Harvest Moon for those living in the Northern Hemisphere. The moon officially turns full when it reaches that spot in the sky opposite (180º) to the sun in the sky. This moment will occur on Saturday at 5:59 a.m. Eastern Time (0959 GMT). 

Saturday's full moon is the one that comes the closest to the September equinox, so this year it falls in September, although on occasion this noscript can be bestowed upon the October full moon. The 2022 version of the Harvest Moon comes unusually early, although it can occur as early as Sept. 8 (as in 2014) or as late as Oct. 7 (as in 1987).

We are changing seasons. As the Earth's barometer shifts, we shift as well to align ourselves to be attuned to the new seasonal energies on planet Earth.

Our bodies pick this up much easier than our conscious minds.

This shift is necessary and natural.

We've been taught to fear these symptoms and to bandaid them with preventative drugs and coping drugs and mechanisms.

I'm not saying you shouldn't take your elderberry or anything like that.

Do what feels natural and intuitive, especially if your solution comes from mother Earth.

But have grace for yourself through the process. Don't fear it. Celebrate it!

A new season is upon us!

It may not be your favorite season, but a new season brings new energy and creates the perfect circumstances for new forms of life.

There are crops that THRIVE when planted during each season. Just like those seeds, there are seeds inside of you birthing new life each season as well.

New opportunities.
New lessons.
New.
New.
New.

And in order to make room for the new, we must be purified from the old.

We go through it every single season.

Take care of your body and let your body take care of you. It was designed for this process, let it work.

And again, follow what feels intuitive. If you need to fast, fast. If you need to detox, detox. If you need help with something you are struggling with, ask for it. Pray for it. If you need herbs and tinctures and teas, use them.

Just don't let anyone else tell you to fear the natural rhythm of nature and your body's response to it. Don't let anyone else dictate what you need to do.
