She comes to take a rest under a tree and she asks, “What can you tell me of life?”
And the tree replies, “You must grow. Draw nourishment from the earth and strength from the Sun. And when you are prevented from growing, you must push against whatever is constraining you until it breaks, or you take it within yourself and make it part of you. In this way, you will always be free.”
“Thank you,” she says.
She steps to the river and asks, “What can you tell me of life?”
And the river says, “You must Flow. And when you are prevented, you must wait until the power of your self overcomes the obstacle. In this way, you will always be free.”
“Thank you,” she says, “I am most grateful.”
She looks up at the Sun and asks her question, “What can you tell me of life?” And the Sun replies, “Trust. Trust that I will be here for you always. Trust that my warmth will sustain you and you will know the measure of my Love by the way I feel to you. Trust that I will teach you to Love as I do. When people find out just how convoluted all of the stories have become, they will finally give up the judgement and surrender their understanding to God.
You can keep trying to figure it all out and untangle the mess but really, you might drive yourself mad. Have you ever tried to untangle a messy tackle box filled with spent line and hooks? It’s a lot like that. The layers of lies and deception are many and have compounded over and over.
The best advice I can give, if I were even to try, is to follow your heart. Use your intuition. Pray and follow your guidance. Watch out when someone tries to tell you who to blame and who to hate. It’s just not that simple. Wish it was.
What you can do though, is see the signs of interference. See where division and judgement is being injected and rise above it.

I used to work on nuclear weapons as an engineer. Yes, that’s true. And, no, I’m not trying to sound nifty. Just making a point.
I wouldn’t go back to that job. But I will say this.
Until our world is fixed, somebody has to do it. And that was my attitude at the time.
I know the real answer is to stop it all. But truly, how do you do that in a practical sense? And be honest with yourself.
I know I’ve just opened a whole new can of philosophical worms.
Discussion for another time perhaps. 😉
I wouldn’t go back to that job. But I will say this.
Until our world is fixed, somebody has to do it. And that was my attitude at the time.
