I just listened to a message about being very careful not to fall into the trap of getting hopeful over the proposed lifting of the lockdown here in the UK. It resonated with me so much, that I wanted to pass that recommendation on. Please do not pay any attention to “the news” from the government. This will likely be yet another trap to get your hopes up and then dash them as has happened time and again over the past year. Look to yourSELF for hope and things on the horizon that are good.

U.S. District Judge Drew Tipton issued a preliminary injunction sought by Texas, which argued the moratorium violated federal law and risked imposing additional costs on the state.

Tipton, a Trump appointee, initially ruled on Jan. 26 that the moratorium violated federal law on administrative procedure and that the U.S. failed to show why a deportation pause was justified. A temporary restraining order the judge issued was set to expire Tuesday.

The Georgia state Senate on Tuesday passed legislation that would require voters to submit a driver's license number, state identification card number or a photocopy of an approved form of identification in order to vote absentee in the state.

Senate Bill 67 passed the upper chamber in 35-18 vote on Tuesday and now heads to the state House for consideration, The Associated Press reports.
