Through time and space we found each other
When we met, we collided together
Echoed voices everywhere we turned
Through synchronized hearts, we deeply yearned
To break through repetitive, programmed words
No longer willing to just go with the flow
We began our journey to unlearn and grow
We had to ask many times, many ways
Through sleepless nights and dark soul days
We've been called crazy, witches and nerds
From trial and triumph and chaos unfurled
From remembered wounds to forgotten worlds
Laughing and crying
Screaming but trying
To heal from the past
These years have gone by so fast
Soul sister doesn't come close to describing you
Once upon a time, One became Two
Then there was me and then there was you
Two different worlds, two different lives
Synchronized hearts, experiences and minds
I wouldn't be close to who I am today
If I hadn't found you along the way
You create safety in the unknown places
No matter where we go, no matter the spaces
I will love you forever, this much is true
For being who you are, just for being you
