A lot of people have been convinced that anything that goes against what you thought you knew, which you learned was false, is therefore correct just because it’s in opposition to the lie.
Not really a good way to discern stuff.
Lots of crazy shit flying around.
Might be a good reminder for all of us to stay true to our own inner compass instead of input from the external world.
Just sayin.

Beat yourself back to the rhythm of love
Some forms of trauma are violent in a physical sense.
Others are violent in a psychological sense.
And sometimes the psychological trauma can be more chronic and intrusive than the physical. It's always there, a shadow telling you that you're not good enough, you're not worthy, you are bad, ugly, crazy, doomed, so on and so forth. It tells you that you're supposed to struggle. It tells you to expect attacks, to expect persecution, to live in a state of victimhood. It makes life appear to be scary and hard and impossible to master or understand without an external source, a savior.
This is also the dynamic between an empath and a narcissist. The empath is attracted to the savior in the same ways that a narcissist is attracted to the broken, helpless victim.
It's in the way the narcissist seeks to isolate the empath - telling them all of the reasons why the "others" are not really good for them
It's in the way they seem to blame all of their problems, all of the worlds problems, on everyone else - not seeing their contribution to their issues
It's in the way they feel they hold authority over how someone else lives their life
It's in the way they feel superior to everyone else
It's in the way they make you feel like anything good you do is never enough
It's in the way they gaslight you into silence because any critique you may have to offer is your own fault, your own downfall
It's in the way they demand a win/lose scenario, usually casting themselves as the winner
......
It's in the comments made about people who "aren't Christian".
It's in the comments made about people who "don't go to church" or who "don't go to the right church" or who "don't go to church often enough" or who don't do enough "on the days between Sundays".
It's in the comments made about people who "get divorced".
It's in the comments made about people who "are gay".
It's in the comments made about people who "don't have a strong enough faith".
It's in the comments made about people who do or have ever drank, done any drug of any kind ((except pharmaceuticals -- those get a pass)).
It's in the comments about people who don't "know Jesus".
It's in the way that once the empath finally decides to heal and walks away from the narcissist, the narcissist does everything to paint the empath as the villain to the outside world to keep them from telling the truth about what they'd experienced and overcome.
So at what point am I allowed to share my story of the trauma I feel I have overcome after spending years as a "good Christian woman" and snapping out of that illusion?
The answer is....whenever I find the balls to.
Oh! Here they are.
I have decided to love myself enough to follow the beating drums in my own heart and the rhythm of my own truth I've experienced as I gently beat myself back to the rhythm of love. Because God loves me. God created me. God IS the root core within me. Just like you and everyone else.
If you choose to live a more religious and structured life, that's wonderful for YOU. It doesn't make anyone else wrong for not doing it. It doesn't make someone wrong for still doing it.
Just as me stepping away from deeping diving the political shit storms --- doesn't mean that others are wrong for still doing so.
It boils down to how we treat each other and you cannot see everyone else as wrong, blind, dumb, evil, lost, sheep etc and still claim to love them.
We each have our own cup. We each have our own bag. We each have our own boat.
NONE of that fucking matters. It just IS matter.
What actually makes that matter is what's in our heart. Time to take the blinders off and really look at what's inside each of ours. ESPECIALLY if you think you don't need to and this triggers you.

I’m going to share some resources on dealing with narcissists. Understand that they can be on a spectrum. We ALL have narcissistic traits to one degree or another. But people with NPD (Narcissistic Personality Disorder) have let those traits completely take…

Gol dang. Sometimes I need to remind myself to stay off of X when I feel at all ornery or under the weather.
There’s so much dumbassery going on there sometimes, I just can’t even. I get stuck in there reading comments on deep questions or points and it’s just…
Yeesh🤦♀️
No, I didn’t say anything rude.
But it was close a couple times.
I’m putting myself on time out.

Alchemy and it's Purpose
I want to share with you the best definition of alchemy I have come across:
"Alchemy - the fullest and most precise background yet worked out for the processes of [psycho]analytical work - presents a seemingly similar motif: the extraction of spirit from matter and then their reunion."
~ James Hillman in 'Senex & Puer'
'Grace' - a seeing of our true nature as undivided from the Whole(y) - is often gifted, without any pursuit of "en.lightenment(e)", to those who walk in shadow; to those who are suffering and in despair. Whilst miraculous, beautiful and empowering, at one and the same time the experience poses a massive threat to the ego.
"True philosophers make dying their profession, and... to them of all men is death least alarming"
~ Plato, quoting Socrates, in Edinger's 'The Mystery of the Conjunctio'.

"... I want you to see where your beliefs conflict with each other ... Be aware of the contents of your conscious mind. ...
The beliefs are not buried, unless you believe that they are. ..You are free conscious beings ... You will learn to be joyful conscious beings...Your events, your lives, your experiences, are caused by your present beliefs. Change the beliefs and your life changes."
