Might be time to check your dogma.
And the thing is, when it’s all you’ve ever known, it is very hard to see.
Kind of like a fish realizing what water is.

When you’ve been surrounded by lies your whole life, you first have to have the wherewithal to question what is permeating you.
Is this true?
Is it correct?
Do I actually understand it, or is it just superstition and stories to me?

Belief is NOT the same as Knowing… as Gnosis.

This is not an easy road.

Was there an ‘historical’ Jesus? The evidence suggests there was not. But to us this emotive issue is really not important.

What IS important is to realize that the Jesus we relate to in our imagination as a mythical ‘archetype’ through which we can reach the ‘Christ Consciousness’ within ourselves, because if we are unable to get enough distance from our our own fantasies and opinions to see that our picture of Jesus is an imaginative construct, we will never have the self knowledge necessary to grasp the Gnosis.

However, we have to be spiritually ready before we can hear this message as positive rather than negative, as giving us what we have been really looking for rather than taking something away. The teachings of the ‘Christ within’ are an open secret that only someone who is ripe can really hear.

Many people desperately want to believe in a miraculous savior, who has literally incarnated to rescue them. There is nothing wrong with this. The miracle worker is a stock character of ancient myths used to inspire hope of something more than the mundane in those unable to see that the whole of life is a staggering miracle. The image of the divine Godman was deliberately designed to appeal to spiritual beginners who have yet to discover that this mythical figure represents their own true identity.

Those who are not ready cling to the ‘real’ Jesus like a life-buoy in the tempestuous sea of existence. To suggest they let go sounds like madness, but the secret teachings of the original Christians were not designed to maliciously deny comfort to simple believers. They are actually offering something infinitely more reassuring then blind belief in historical events. They are offering Gnosis — immediate experiential knowledge of the Truth. The message is not ‘Look out, you are clinging to an illusion,’ the message is:

‘Relax. You are not drowning. You can let go because life is actually completely safe. Just experience Gnosis, and all your ignorance will be dispelled. Just know who you really are and you will have absolutely no fear ever again. Discover the Christ within yourself and you will be always One with God.’

Jesus and the lost Goddess

We, in effect, “die” when we are born into this physical form. Our expansive, limitless selves are condensed down into a vibration that can exist here and navigate this plane of existence.

We are already walking through the Valley of the Shadow of Death as we live this life. It’s a metaphor for what this experience IS. And I don’t know about you, but I will certainly fear no evil here because I see what this is and enough of how it works to know I don’t need to fear a fucking thing.

What if Jesus came on down here and sacrificed himself on the Cross - his BODY - in order to impart his vibration into this Realm? To show us what we are and to plant those seeds of Wisdom into those who would come after him and hear his words?

And does whether he was actually, physically, here even matter in that sense? It’s the Teachings that impart the vibration.

The Light of Truth.

And it is contagious.

What I find both fascinating and reassuring as I study different sources of truth and different approaches to it, is that most everyone is saying the same thing.
Perhaps different frameworks and different languages are used, but the fundamental messages are the same.

Once you get past the conditioning we’ve all been subjected to. And once you can shed whatever fear and dogma has been infecting your mind and your spirit, you can see what’s been hidden. You can see the power that it holds and you can understand that we truly are all One. All around the world, the division has been so overt, so blatant, that to see beyond it just highlights how powerful the Truth really is.

Never stop searching. Never stop seeking.

I believe that The Truth is spread out across multiple religions, spiritual practices, philosophies and texts.

What if we all have to unite and get over our differences in order for it all to click together?

What if that is exactly what’s happening through the internet and access to information from all walks of life? What if the puzzle can only be unlocked through people’s individual growth as we put aside our judgements and look to each other to actually understand the other perspectives that are out there?

Syncretism.
Seeking to understand instead of judge.
Looking for information in order to actually learn instead of using it to beat each other over the head with.

It’s funny how as soon as we stop trying to prove that we are “right” the pieces we need to actually understand what’s going on show up.

I’ve seen a lot of theories about when Jesus was born. All with different dates and reasons for whatever date being referenced is actually Jesus’ birthday. They all fall short of understanding because they are missing the point. And it’s a big one.

For my part, it was crystal clear to me when I first started studying the Zodiacal Wheel of the Year and saw that “Christmas Eve” falls three days after the Winter Solstice, that Jesus, the SunSon, was “Born” at the Solstice. This is the time of year when the light begins to triumph once again over the darkness and the days begin to get longer instead of shorter.
So Jesus’ “birthday” is actually marking this significant point on the Wheel astrologically.

(Incidentally, this also is where the year moves into Capricorn, the Goat — the Initiate who begins his journey up and out of the depths of winter / darkness with sure-footedness, strong steps and an eager Heart.)

Now, you can agree with me or not, and certainly many have disagreed vehemently. But once you start really looking at astrology and letting the notion into your mind that Jesus is actually the personification of the Sun, things will begin to click into place.

And for the record, it’s not just the Bible that encodes these Truths into its stories. The Qur’an, the Torah, the Upanishads, the Emerald Tablets of Thoth, etc, etc do it too. If you can read them with an open heart, you see that the Savior is the Sun.

But here’s yet another layer to the meaning of “Christmas” that just serves to reinforce the importance of looking at all of this astrologically.

“Many centuries ago in the precession of the equinoxes, the end of the year was marked by the position of the great Dog-Star Sirius, mighty celestial symbol of the divinity in man. Precisely at midnight of December 24 it stood on the meridian line from the zenith to Egypt. Jesus was born of the Virgin, Virgo, on “Christmas”.
It’s not literal.
It’s written in the stars.

So, in my estimation, you can let go of all those times you tried to make sense of a child being born to a woman who never had sex. And all the times you wondered about poor Joseph and the faith he must have had to believe in her anyway. And all the machinations that came with it.
