Many of us have been conditioned to think that being humble somehow makes you inferior.

It does not.

If anything, trying to “win” and one-up people is what makes you inferior just by the fact that the reason you’re doing it is an expression of your own fear.
By fearing it and trying to avoid it, you actually cause it to happen.

Enter “the narcissist”.
They are incapable of humility it seems. Incapable of empathy and self-reflection.
Which keeps The Beginner’s Mind forever out of their grasp.

Looking for some insight here bc the internet is full of crap.

Is it worth the invasion of privacy to fill out a FAFSA form for college? We have opted out for the past two years on the Federal Aid form bc I don’t think our kids would qualify for any assistance and bc I feel like it’s just a trap to get you lined up for a bullshit student loan that will hang over your head for decades. Plus, it grants access to the government to your financial information. I know they already have it, but granting access puts your data in a different category.

Everything I find online, of course, says FILL IT OUT! YOU’RE STUPID NOT TO. Which just makes me even more convinced it’s crap.

What do you guys know/ think about it?
