Close the door to that chapter.
Shut it without regret –
and throw the key into the depths of the sea,
so that even in moments of doubt,
you’ll never be tempted to return
and see if something has changed.
If chances were given and wasted –
don’t offer new ones.
That’s not selfishness.
That’s strength.
Closing life’s chapters is an act of courage, not weakness.
Not everyone has the power to say enough.
It’s your right – to live in peace,
and to smile at the reflection in your mirror.
Take a deep breath and live –
as beautifully as you can. 🌷
