Some of us are just built different.

I know there are folks out there clutching their pearls and worried about the optics of blowing up drug boats and strengthening our military. They cringe at the renaming of the “Department of War” and can’t comprehend it being juxtaposed against a “Board of Peace”.

Calling things what they ACTUALLY ARE is always a step in the right direction. No illusions, just Truth.

So, you know what? If you’re one who is upset over these things, take a breath and shut the fuck up for a minute. No one is asking or demanding that you, personally, go out and do what needs to be done.

Just be grateful for the ones who are willing and able to do it.

We live in a world of Duality. There’s no getting around that. If we did, our world would cease to exist. And maybe that’s the point, maybe that’s where we are ultimately headed.

But in the meantime, there are those who can stand in the span of space between Good and Evil and not flinch. This is what Tough Love looks like. It’s not afraid to do what’s right. No matter what anyone else thinks.

This is what President Trump brings to the table. And I’m here for ALL OF IT.

The sentiments I expressed above must be in the Aether bc I’ve been feeling it well up for days. I didn’t see this before I said what I said, but I find deep satisfaction in knowing that the Tough Love sentiment is flowing through us right now.

President Trump signs an Executive Order treating Addiction as any other chronic disease. Potentially getting treatment for those in need.

The framework for addiction treatment should parallel that of other chronic diseases — utilizing evidence-based care, scientific advancement, continuous support, and community connection. My Administration will drive a new national response to the disease of addiction that will create stronger coordination across government, the healthcare sector, faith communities, and the private sector in order to save lives, restore families, strengthen our communities, and build the Great American Recovery.

Sec. 2. Launching the Great American Recovery Initiative. (a) There is hereby established the White House Great American Recovery Initiative (Initiative) co-chaired by the Secretary of Health and Human Services and the Senior Advisor for Addiction Recovery. There shall be an Executive Director who shall administer and execute the day to day operations of the Initiative, and who shall report to the Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy.

It’s time to face this sickness.

Personally, I believe it’s a spiritual sickness, having experienced it myself. And I don’t believe that the traditional models of care are very effective.

But, focusing energy and effort onto the issue can only help. And I think this administration will open the doors to new and better treatment methods. Let the Golden Age begin. 🙏
