Commentators are SHREDDING British PM Boris Johnson to pieces for FLYING just 450km from London to Cornwall for the G7 Summit, which has been dubbed by the media the GREENEST SUMMIT ever...
“Flying to Cornwall to promote building back greener is like promoting healthy eating by scoffing your way out of a sarcophagus made of Big Macs,” said one commentator.
Johnson’s own govt figures estimate FIVE TIMES more greenhouse gases were produced by his private jet trip than an equivalent train journey.
Johnson defended his choice by explaining plans for the UK to go “jet zero”. “I respectfully point out that the UK is actually in the lead in developing sustainable aviation fuel.”

The US president has reportedly turning up the heat on the UK's trade row with the EU concerning exports to Northern Ireland. Joe Biden spiced up his meeting with Boris Johnson by accusing the British PM of "inflaming" tensions with NI, right on the eve of the G7 Summit too. (The Times)
Thursday's Times newspaper claims Biden ordered a diplomatic rebuke against Johnson... a measure rarely exchanged between allies, let alone 'special' ones. Downing Street was also made aware of Biden's "great concern" over the issue and that he'd been following it with interest.
