Statement by Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States of America

Joe Biden’s radical plan to implement the largest tax hike in American history is a massive giveaway to China, and many other countries, that will send thousands of factories, millions of jobs, and trillions of dollars to these competitive Nations. The Biden plan will crush American workers and decimate U.S. manufacturing, while giving special tax privileges to outsourcers, foreign and giant multinational corporations.
 
Biden promised to “build back better”—but the country he is building up, in particular, is China and other large segments of the world. Under the Biden Administration, America is once again losing the economic war with China—and Biden’s ludicrous multi-trillion dollar tax hike is a strategy for total economic surrender. Sacrificing good paying American jobs is the last thing our citizens need as our country recovers from the effects of the Global Pandemic.
 
Biden’s policy would break the back of the American Worker with among the highest business tax rates in the developed world. Under Biden’s plan, if you create jobs in America, and hire American workers, you will pay MORE in taxes—but if you close down your factories in Ohio and Michigan, fire U.S. workers, and move all your production to Beijing and Shanghai, you will pay LESS. It is the exact OPPOSITE of putting America First—it is putting America LAST!
Companies that send American jobs to China should not be rewarded by Joe Biden’s Tax Bill, they should be punished so that they keep those jobs right here in America, where they belong. 
 
This legislation would be among the largest self-inflicted economic wounds in history. If this monstrosity is allowed to pass, the result will be more Americans out of work, more families shattered, more factories abandoned, more industries wrecked, and more Main Streets boarded up and closed down—just like it was before I took over the presidency 4 years ago. I then set record low unemployment, with 160 million people working. 
 
This tax hike is a classic globalist betrayal by Joe Biden and his friends: the lobbyists will win, the special interests will win, China will win, the Washington politicians and government bureaucrats will win—but hardworking American families will lose.
 
Joe Biden’s cruel and heartless attack on the American Dream must never be allowed to become Federal law.  Just like our southern border went from best to worst, and is now in shambles, our economy will be destroyed!

In yet another highly partisan story, the failing New York Times wrote a completely misleading, one-sided attack piece this weekend that tried to disparage our record-setting grassroots fundraising operation during the 2020 campaign.  Except for massive voter fraud, this was a campaign that was easily won by your favorite Republican President, me!
 
Our support in 2020 was so big—never before seen (received more votes than any sitting President in history, by far), that it has become a major threat to the Democrat Party, which explains why the New York Times immediately rushed to defend their Radical Left allies.  Before our two campaigns, 2016 and 2020, Republicans would always lose small dollar donations.  Now we win, or do very well, because we are the Party of Working Americans, and we beat the Democrats at their own game.  We learned from liberal ActBlue—and now we’re better than they are!  In fact, many people were so enthusiastic that they gave over and over, and in certain cases where they would give too much, we would promptly refund their contributions.  Our overall dispute rate was less than 1% of total online donations, a very low number.  This is done by Dems also. 
 
The New York Times knew this but buried these details in their story—they didn’t talk about, however, how the CHEATING Democrats circumvented State Legislatures (approval is required by the U.S. Constitution) in Swing States to rig the 2020 Presidential Election, or how Democrats paid for votes in many Urban Centers, in a little thing called “walking around money,” how Democrats threatened Union Members with the loss of their jobs if they didn’t vote Democrat, massive Fake Mail-In Ballots, illegal immigrants and dead people who voted (for Dems), and much more.  Our fundraising efforts, working together with the Republican party, were all done legally, and all with the goal of ensuring that my Administration could continue to Make America Great Again. The Election on the other hand, was massively rigged and stolen—and now look what is happening to our Country, and in particular at our southern border.

A  top Biden administration medical adviser said Tuesday he did not know why COVID-19 cases continue decreasing in Texas after he and others harshly criticized the state’s governor for rolling back a mask mandate last month.

“It can be confusing because you may see a lag and a delay, because often, you have to wait a few weeks before you see the effect of what you’re doing right now,” Dr. Anthony Fauci, one of President Joe Biden’s top COVID-19 advisers, said during an appearance on MSNBC.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s mask mandate ended on March 10.

“There are a lot of things that go into that. I mean, when you say that they’ve had a lot of activity on the outside like ball games, I’m not really quite sure, it could be they’re doing things outdoors. It’s very difficult to just one on one compare that. You just have to see in the long range, I hope they continue to tick down. If they do, that would be great,” Fauci added.

“But there’s always that concern, when you pull back on methods, particularly things like indoor dining and bars that are crowded, you can see a delay, and then all of a sudden, tick right back up. We’ve been fooled before by situations where people begin to open up, nothing happens, and then all of a sudden, several weeks later, things start exploding on you. So we got to be careful. We don’t prematurely judge that.”

Fauci last month said the decision by the governors of Texas and Mississippi to end mandatory masking was “inexplicable”

“I don’t know why they’re doing it, but from a public-health standpoint it’s certainly ill-advised,” he said during an appearance on CNN.

Biden called the moves the result of “Neanderthal thinking,” accusing the officials of ignoring science.

But both states have seen a continued decline in daily COVID-19 cases.

Commentators said Fauci’s latest remarks showed an unwillingness to admit when he’s wrong.

“This guy has been consistently wrong and has changed his tune multiple times. Anyone else would have been fired and stayed away from public life. Pride is deadly,” said actor Matthew Marsden on Twitter.

“Fascist Gnome, MD is running out of excuses for his prescribed lockdown tyranny,” Steve Cortes, a former President Donald Trump campaign adviser, said in a tweet.

The offices of Abbott and Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Several Florida Democrats are challenging a report by the CBS News program “60 Minutes” that attempted to paint the state’s vaccination partnership with the Publix grocery store chain as nefarious.

The program on April 4 explored the COVID-19 vaccine rollout in Florida, which has experienced a similar COVID-19 death rate to California and other states despite having much looser restrictions.

In one heated exchange, a reporter pressed Gov. Ron DeSantis on the use of Publix stores to administer vaccines, claiming the fact that Publix contributed $100,000 to his political action committee before the chain was chosen could be seen as evidence of a “pay-for-play” scheme.

DeSantis called the allegation “a fake narrative,” offering a lengthy explanation of what had unfolded. It included state officials reaching out to pharmacies besides CVS and Walgreens because those two companies were tasked with delivering vaccines to long-term care facilities. Publix was the first to say it was ready for the second set of distribution and administration.

DeSantis also said he visited four different Publix stores during a trial run and found feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and that he solicited advice from Palm Beach officials.

“Here’s some of the options: We can do more drive-through sites, we can give more to hospitals, we can do the Publix, we can do this. They calculated that 90 percent of their seniors live within a mile and a half of a Publix. And they said, ‘We think that would be the easiest thing for our residents,'” he said.

“60 Minutes” omitted 356 words from DeSantis’ 423-word answer.

The British government’s plan to introduce COVID-status certification has met with resistance from lawmakers from across the political spectrum.

In a review published on Monday, the government said it will begin to trial COVID-status certification in certain settings, including large events, as England gradually exits the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus lockdown.

The government said it believes that “COVID-status certification could have an important role to play both domestically and internationally” to “allow some freedoms to be restored more safely.”

The COVID Recovery Group (CRG), a group of Tory MPs who are sceptical about COVID-19 lockdown measures, said that “Parliament must give approval” if the government wants to introduce COVID certificates.

“Trying to do it by the back door by linking them to social distancing rules isn’t on,” CRG chair Mark Harper wrote on Twitter.

The Liberal Democrats also reiterated their opposition to the idea.

“By rolling out COVID ID card trials this Government is going to damage businesses and our freedoms. @LibDems are clear, we will oppose these illiberal, unworkable and unnecessary plans,” said Ed Davey, leader of the Liberal Democrats, on Twitter.

Jonathan Ashworth, shadow health secretary for the main opposition Labour party, said he would not support such certificates for everyday activities.

“I’m not going to support a policy that—here in my Leicester constituency—if someone wants to go into Next or H&M they have to produce a vaccination certificate on their phone,” he told the BBC’s Breakfast programme on Tuesday.

Minister for Vaccine Deployment Nadhim Zahawi defended the idea, saying: “It’s only responsible as we see how this virus behaves, as we see how other countries are utilising technology to make sure that they keep the virus under control, then we should look at the same thing.”

The government said in the review that other countries are already developing their own certification systems, such as Israel’s “Green Pass” and the European Union’s “digital green certificate.”

Zahawi told Sky News that any scheme would be designed not to be discriminatory, suggesting it would involve data on COVID-19 tests, not just vaccines. But he added no decision had been taken, and lawmakers would get a vote on any plans.

Last week, dozens of British parliamentarians from across the political spectrum joined hands in opposition to the possible introduction of COVID-status certificates.

Sir Keir Starmer, leader of the main opposition Labour Party, said in a newspaper interview that requiring vaccine passports for social activities would be against the “British instinct.”

Sir Graham Brady, chairman of the influential 1922 Committee of backbench Conservative MPs, called COVID-19 certification “divisive and discriminatory.”

Representatives of the British pub industry also wrote to Johnson to express their “outrage” at the idea of introducing COVID-19 certification for hospitality venues.

“This could prevent millions of young people visiting the pub for months, unless they get themselves tested in advance,” they said.

Too bad the desperately needed election reforms in Georgia didn’t go further, as their originally approved Bill did, but the Governor and Lt. Governor would not go for it.  The watered-down version, that was just passed and signed by Governor Kemp, while better than before, doesn’t have Signature Matching and many other safety measures, which were sadly left out. This Bill should have been passed before the 2020 Presidential Election, not after. It is now reported that chain of custody records for over 400,000 Absentee Ballots are missing or not being shown.  I wonder why?  Show them now!  The Democrats in Georgia really push the Republicans around, like the so-called Consent Decree, which was illegally signed by the Secretary of State without Legislative Approval—a Democrat DREAM.  Boycott all of the woke companies that don’t want Voter I.D. and Free and Fair Elections.
